Long delay on lint warning sound

I'm working on adding more alert tone options and when I run the app locally, the tone plays almost 2 seconds after the lint error registers. It makes it pretty difficult to tell what the tone is referring to. Additionally, since the lint check is bound to keyup, the alert will sound in situations such as simply taking a moment too long to finish typing out a function name, which is also confusing.
