Description
Hi there!
Here are some things to keep in mind if you're interested in applying to this year's Google Summer of Code with the p5.js Editor!
Where Can I Find This Year's Projects?
Please check out the full list of projects across the Processing Foundation on our 2025 Project List page.
How Can I Start My Contributions?
For folks interested in applying for this year's Google Summer of Code, we recommend that each contributor makes 2 Pull Requests maximum for better management and proposal review. Please feel free to specify on your 2 pull requests that you're interested in applying for GSoC and list them within your proposals.
If you're interested in applying for the program and have already submitted 2 pull requests, we do not recommend you to submit any further. We strongly encourage folks to dedicate lots of time researching the project areas, reflecting on the existing issues, and crafting their proposals.
Check out how to start contributing within the contributor docs!
How Long Will It Take for My Pull Request to Be Reviewed?
We typically aim to respond to incoming issues and pull requests within 1-2 weeks, though we might not always catch them all! If there hasn't been any engagement with your submission, feel free to add a comment if the 2 week timeframe has passed.
What if I Have Other Questions?
If you have any other questions, check out this Discourse thread! Feel free to introduce yourself and ask any other questions you might have there!
