Got started on the Prisma Framework Spec.

I've had a number of people from different parts of the org ask me questions about capabilities and connectors. I thought I'd start the brain dump today to better spread the information.

This spec falls out of all the learnings I've obtained through working on the end-to-end prototype. This specification is both a draft and forward-looking. Engineering has not vetted the spec or the prototype.

The goal of this spec is to:

  • Provide a clear, unified picture of where we see the Prisma Framework going
  • Scout ahead of engineering with a throwaway prototype and a product spec that's grounded in reality
  • Spread knowledge across Prisma of how the pieces of the Prisma Framework fit together

Next steps:

  • Work on Migrate section
  • Implement relations
  • Align on connector interface with engineering
  • Work on Mongo Connector
  • Fill out Postgres Connector with a more complete capability map
