Items in PanelMenu are highlighted wrongly with Material dark themes

When using Material dark themes ("Deep Purple Dark" and "Indido Dark"), and you click to expand a PanelMenu item and then click the same item again to collapse it, the white blink stands still and therefore both text and background are of same color.
