Bootstrapped Extensions

Enhance the user experience by providing access to prepackaged extensions without requiring users to manually search for, download, and install them. See complete spec.

Required for Positron Desktop and Positron in Workbench

• Bundle Positron with VSIX extension files #6301
• Install prepackaged extensions on Positron Desktop #6302

Required for Remote SSH Sessions

• Expand the default extension installer to Positron Server #6305

Nice to have

• Allow mac and linux users to preconfigure a directory with extensions to be preinstalled #6304
