I see there is some discussion on changing some formatting of numbers in data explorer such as #11326. As i understand it, it is mostly about the precision of the numbers.

I have been thinking it might be nice to also be able to do "pretty" formatting. One strength of Excel is that you can format you numbers in many different ways that make reading them easier. I haven't seen a similar feature request, so I start this discussion.

For me, I would love to be able to click a button like the filter button and be able to pick a display format. For example I would like to see a number like 12345.67 as 12.345,45 or most likely i don't care about the decimal, but would like to see the thousand separators. Or format numbers as percentages like 0.654 as 65,4%. Notice I use "European" formatting which is me preferred way of displaying numbers.

Being able to always having thousand separators for all numbers would also be a big improvement for readability - this could of course be an opt-in.

Is this something that is on the road map or could possibly be put on the road map for data explorer?
