Dock missing icons after pinning

After pinning a new application to the dock the dock only then shows the app launcher and nothing else.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Open application (ive been using brave browser)
2. right click icon on dock
3. pin to tray

Expected behavior
this should result in the same issue where everything will disseapear from the dock except from the app launcher

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS OS: CachyOS x86_64
• Kernel: Linux 6.14.4-2-cachyos
• cosmic desktop environment
