docs(python): Improve formatting and consistency of various docstrings

Fixes a collection of small things I have noticed recently.

I structured the commits with a descriptive messages, so that this can reviewed per commit (if so desired).

Please let me know if you are unsure as to the reasoning behind any of these changes.
