The failure is on line 584, and occurs when creating the grid metrics file for FVCOM when the output file is missing the nbe array.

Hi. I was able to solve this issue by changing the line to from matplotlib.tri import Triangulation.

Yes it should! I assume the FVCOM data you're working with doesn't have the nbe array, which is why you're hitting it? I will reopen this and push a fix when I get a moment.

Correct, the FVCOM data I have from NECOFS doesn't have the nbe array. I will make the change to the code locally until this issue is closed.
