ApprovabilityVerdict: Not approved Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — The PR narrowly targets SSH setup and shutdown leaks, with extensive lifecycle regression coverage, but it changes production cancellation and remote-process ownership semantics using nontrivial fiber and scope coordination. The externally visible cleanup behavior and concurrency complexity warrant human review. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Learn more. |

Tunnel creation establishes cleanup ownership before remote launch and transfers cleanup to the tunnel finalizer after setup succeeds. Lifecycle tests cover interruption, shutdown, concurrent setup, and disconnect ordering. ChangesSSH tunnel lifecycle

Merge Risk: ⚪ Minimal · up to SSH environment setup now stops with the manager and cleans up a managed remote server when setup fails or is cancelled. External servers are left running. No outstanding defects were identified, and the change appears ready to merge. No introduced security issue was established, but interruption before remote launch acknowledgement and incomplete teardown verification leave limited uncertainty. Fixed in 274bc70. Cleanup now owns a launched managed server before port reservation and transfers to the completed tunnel atomically. Tests cover cancellation during reservation and readiness, external-server safety, failed stop and exactly-once cleanup after success. The regression fails without the fix; 33 focused tests, SSH typecheck and lint pass. |
SSH setup could survive manager shutdown or caller cancellation. A managed server launched before tunnel registration could also be abandoned during local-port reservation or readiness checks.
Keep setup owned by the caller and manager, and acquire remote cleanup before reserving the local port. Transfer cleanup to the completed tunnel once its finalizer is installed. Failed setup stops managed servers once and leaves external servers alone; explicit disconnect retains its existing error handling.
Verification: 33 focused tunnel and lifecycle tests passed. Deferred receipts cover shutdown during resolution, port reservation, readiness and pairing, failed remote cleanup, completed ownership transfer, reconnects and concurrent callers. The new cancellation regression fails without the fix. SSH typecheck and scoped lint passed. Tests use synthetic process and HTTP services; no remote host, browser or live T3 state was used.
