Closing as fixed by PR #8627. The project picker now limits its popup to the button width and lets the inner content shrink. This addresses the search field and project rows extending past the popup background in your screenshot.
This is part of an automated closure pass based on our investigation. The fix is included in v0.0.38. Please update from v0.0.36.
