Hash routing not working on github pages

Based on the options available for $router.navigate(), it appears that we can only move forward, i.e. add another entry into the history stack.

Is it possible to do a replace?

I tried running an Alpine + PineconeRouter web application in GitHub Pages. The settings used are { hash: true }.

When visiting the web page, which is a subdirectory (e.g, https://altbdoor.github.io/foobar/), the first page fails to load. I believe its because it does not match the "root hash route", or /#/.

So I want to do a history.replaceState() with the router, to navigate to /.

Thanks for pointing this out, ill have to look into it tomorrow as I am busy right now.
Ill push a fix for the initial page load with hash routing which i had before but forgot to re-add when i refactored the codebase for v7
