Experiencing significant sluggishness, lag, and stuttering when selecting text via Phoenix #2663

Describe the bug
The latest version of Phoenix has major sluggish, laggy, and stutter issues when selecting text, often appearing as very slow or even freezing behavior when highlighting with a mouse or touchpad. I’ve tried different mice, updated drivers, and confirmed that the problem disappears once I stop using the Phoenix interface. Since switching to Visual Studio Code, the text selection issues are gone. I’m not sure if this is due to a memory leak or something else in the latest release, but it wasn’t happening before. Also, recent projects with long paths (like long folder names) can’t be removed from the recent history because the [x] icon doesn’t appear for them.
Reproduction
Open multiple tabs and select several lines and the major sluggish, laggy, and stutter issues happen when selecting text, often appearing as very slow or even freezing behavior when highlighting with a mouse or touchpad
Expected behavior
There should not be any sluggish, laggy, and stutter issues happen when selecting text
