Dev Environment Set Up

In order to propertly work with this repo you will need the following installed on your computer:

Node, Git, Create React App

I use VS Code as my IDE.

Getting Started with GitHub

For those of you unfamiliar with GitHub, here is a helpful [link] (https://docs.github.com/en/get-started/quickstart) on getting started. Hello World, Setting Up Git, and Fork a Repo are most relevant to this project.

Getting Started with This Repo

Once everything is set up, fork and clone this repo.

To download dependencies:

$ npm install

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in your browser.

The page will reload when you make changes.
You may also see any lint errors in the console.

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

See the section about deployment for more information.

Learn More about NPM Scripts and the Package JSON

An intro to NPM Scripts is here. The docs are located here.

This project is set up with Create React App

The React Docs give a pretty good explaination as to why Create React App is a great tool for setting up a React App in a learning environment. https://reactjs.org/docs/create-a-new-react-app.html#:~:text=Flexible%20Toolchains.-,Create%20React%20App,-Create%20React%20App
