PSNavLandingPageGeneratorEffect
This FolderContent Relationship effect is designed to auto generate Landing Pages for NavOns when they are created for the first time. This is useful in sites that make use of Managed Navigation as it eliminates a task that must be performed for every Folder and NavOn added to the sites Navigation. The current version assumes one landing page type per system. The extension may be enhanced in the future to support multiple landing page types/site configurations.
This extension is currently in Development / Testing status
To enable the effect, open the Workbench and go to the System View. Expand Relationship Types->System and select the FolderContent relationship, opening it's properties. On the Effects tab, add a new Effect, with an Execution Context of Pre-Construction, and a Direction of Either.
Select the PSNavLandingPageGeneratorEffect from the drop-down and enter the appropriate values for each parameter following the Parameter documentation below. Save the FolderContent relationship type.
Login to Context Explorer and create a new Folder in a Site that has Managed Navigation enabled. A NavOn and a Landing Page should be created.
To enabled debug logging for the Effect to troubleshoot configuration or installation problems, add the following snippet to your /AppServer/server/rx/conf/log4j.xml file, and save the file.
<logger name="com.percussion.pso.effects.PSNavLandingPageGeneratorEffect">
<level value="DEBUG" />
</logger>
Extended debug output will be output to the server.log at the next server Polling interval. Debug logging is quite verbose, so be sure to set the log level to INFO once troubleshooting is completed or in Production environments.
