Why this matters
Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes (OKE) is the managed Kubernetes offering on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and a growing number of enterprises, particularly existing Oracle customers, standardize their cloud database platforms on OCI. Officially certifying the Percona Operator for MySQL (Percona XtraDB Cluster) on OKE gives these organizations the assurance that every release is validated end-to-end on their chosen cloud, rather than running on an untested configuration. This removes a key procurement and risk blocker for OCI-standardized teams and expands Percona's reach into the Oracle Cloud ecosystem.
