Performances

It could be interesting to benchmark performances of tinyio compared to asyncio or Trio. In particular I would be interested in seeing if the use of threading.Event in the event loop affects performances even when no threads are involved.

I agree! I think this is a point where I would be happy to take a PR adding some benchmarks. I'm not super worried either way - if we're faster than might be a selling point for us; if we're slower than that might be a selling point for asyncio/trio, and that'd be fine too!
