I know that Paperlesspaper currently does not have a product that uses a 16-level grayscale display, but would love to see EPDOptimize extended to support that type of screen and palette. My request is based on the 10.3" grayscale epaper panel that is now becoming popular. It's an interesting usecase for epaper because the (relatively) high DPI and 16 level grayscale means the screen can look indistinguishable from an actual black and white photo print, once the images are properly dithered. Having EPDOptimize support would help with this process.
