Description
This seems like a possible thing to do, because every letter in the rendered html just needs to get wrapped in a span and then have the correct color set on the text token. So the rendered text can still be aligned with the input text.
I could implement this, but i wanted to ask you what engine would be most fitting. What are your thoughts about shiki? It's a big engine, but it has the best grammar and color engine that i know of. Could it maybe be added as a plugin?

I just sat that you also have https://github.com/panphora/synesthesia. Is this supposed to be an markdown editor like OverType with more power, or is a code editor that uses the same approach as OverType for rendering?
