s.str.replace("", "", -3, True)Issue Description
The call above hangs indefinitely
Expected Behavior
I would expect it to match behavior of below:
s = pd.Series(["abc"], dtype=pd.StringDtype())
s.str.replace("", "", -3, True)
0 abc
dtype: string
