Feature request: glucose prediction for "Alarm when soon"

Following FR may be nice to have in GDH: j-kaltes/Juggluco#414

A little background. I'm using that value with a small website I wrote about 3 Years ago when I was not aware of NighScout.
Currently I'm using a prediction time of 10min.
I have very good experience with it, thought from the unit side, it is possibly the best to use it in mmol/l.

Hi,
I know this feature from xDrip+, but I never really used it.
I also personally don't need it, as GDH values are always visible to me.
GDH also offers a fast falling alarm and 2 borders for los alarms, so I think this is not really needed, as you can configure the fast falling for such use cases.
At the moment the current alarm config is a bit too complicated, a new alarm will make it more complicated to understand.

So maybe, I will change my mind, but at the moment, I have much more important stuff todo...

No worries. I fully understand that you can't add more and more functionality which also costs a lot of implementation time. I like how clean you keep the GUI while providing so many options. Indeed the interface will get to overloaded for inexperienced users. I could imagine a beginner and an advanced mode for the interface. But this indeed will be a bigger task.

I stopped using xDrip+ three years ago because of bugs no one cared about. I fixed some bugs by myself but gave up thinking a fork or separate app would be needed. I did not get insulin amounts correctly transferred or values per minute without some type of smoothing. The prediction alarm spoke the time in which a low is expected. The prediction alarm was to slow reacting as I remember. Inside the configuration it was not really clear to me what changes what and I often did not found any effect of a setting change. How the prediction worked was also unclear. I also did not find a way how to add an own insulin profile for the prediction or see how a profile is defined. To much magic in all that. I prefer a simple understandable linear prediction.
Maybe everything changed but I am to lazy for continuously checking xDrip+ for changes.

At home I have my website with glucose value always visible on a tablet. It does a prediction threshold alarm for high and low values. For me this could replace all other alarms. I just missing this on my mobile.

I understand what you mean, but maybe the you can already configure the fast falling alarm for your needs.
An alternative solution is using Tasker for configure your own solution, so you do not need to wait until I have some time 😉
