I'd consider landing this immediately after the r18 branch cut, unless we have a more pressing need. We've definitely had illumos-specific regressions before. |

To be more clear: we do not bump the Rust toolchain until the beginning of a release cycle (after the prior release is branched and internal tests are okay). |
