Looking at this page, it is not obvious that a) VPCs is where you go to mess with firewall rules, and then b) you have to click the VPC to go to the detail page to see the rules. To some extent we are stuck with a structure like this because we firewall rules are children of the VPC and we shouldn't change that, but I think we can be smarter about getting the user to where they want to go.
Some ideas off the top of my head, could do any or none:
- Change "VPCs" in sidebar to "Networking"
- Indicate on the VPCs page that firewall rules are inside the VPC
- Add Firewall Rules column to VPC with a count (stupid idea but would work)
- Link directly to "firewall rules" (also stupid because it would be the same link as the VPC name)
As usual, a small tweak would really help, and we just have to figure out the right thing.
