Investigation shows that .NET tools has roll forward major by default so this tool that currently targets .NET 8 can be run on in a setup where only .NET 9 or .NET 10 is available. Therefore it makes little sense in multi-targeting.
Upgrade to .NET 10 when .NET 8 is going out of support in november 2026.
