Description of issue

I’m trying to install Homebrew in Android Termux, but I’m stuck on the gcc and linux-headers formulas. I can’t seem to install any other formulas. Any ideas?

You'll have to read the above logs to see what went wrong.

Probably only if you can find and install a newer system glibc, otherwise everything you try to build will depend on Homebrew glibc, which won't build correctly as you've discovered.

Also Android is not Linux. It may look something like your average Linux distro at the userland level, but try to build most things and you'll probably run into a whole bunch of "potholes".

How do I get Homebrew to use the system glibc?
I've done these before:

pkg install glibc-repo
pkg install glibc gcc-libs-glibc glibc-runner

and now glibc is already the newest version (2.39-4). Run termux-chroot grun --shell ~/.linuxbrew/bin/brew got this:

/data/data/com.termux/files/home/.linuxbrew/bin/brew: error while loading shared libraries: /data/data/com.termux/files/home/.linuxbrew/bin/brew: invalid ELF header

Which binary for Homebrew to do patchelf --set-rpath "${PREFIX}/glibc/lib" --set-interpreter "${PREFIX}/glibc/lib/ld-linux-aarch64.so.1" binary?

Not sure why you're getting this error, as brew is a shell script. Perhaps it's because you seem to be running brew in a chroot'd environment.

However, this line from your brew config:

Host glibc: N/A

happens because brew config runs /usr/bin/ldd --version, and that seems to be failing on your Android system. Fix that and you might have a chance. (This might also be related to your chroot.)

In any case, I'm not a maintainer, but I'm pretty sure Android is not a supported platform, no matter how much it tries to look like Linux under the hood.
