The CouchApp Python script and JavaScript framework we=E2=80=99ll be usin=
g grew out of the work designing this example application. It=E2=80=99s now=
in use for a variety of applications, and has a mailing list, wiki, and a =
community of hackers. Just search the internet for "couchapp" to find the l=
atest information. Many thanks to Beno=EF=BF=BDt Chesneau for building and =
maintaining the library (and contributing to CouchDB=E2=80=99s Erlang codeb=
ase and many of the Python libraries.)

Please include an "Installing on Windows" section here - I managed to
get it done but had to trawl through several blog posts and websites
to do it.

For my Windows install (Windows XP Pro), I needed to do the
following:

  1. download and install py2exe
  2. download and install py32win
  3. manually locate, download and unzip (7zip or PKZip do this well)
    the CouchApp tarball
  4. run "setup.py install" from a command line in the unzipped folder.

Regards,

Andrew
