It is recommended that you install Erlang OTP R12B-4 or above where possible.

On CentOS 5.4, this statement appears to be incorrect with regards to
couchdb 0.11.0.. The erlang-R12B-5.8.el5.i386 RPM does not provide
the keyfind/3 fuction, and I was forced to build erlang R13B04 from
source to get couchdb to successfully start and pass all tests.
