Update to release from feature branches rather than main

OSB releases from main currently. This can become an issue when we need to release patch versions. This approach also requires a freeze period so that no new commits make it to mainline, which prevents community members from having their PRs addressed in a timely manner.

There's currently an initiative to move from releasing from main branch to releasing from feature branch.
