Context - mapping GLEIF data to BODS 0.4

GLEIF don't always delete/retire relationships when associated LEIs are deleted or retired. In our 0.4 mapping this results in relationship statements not being closed when their associated entity statements are closed.

Should it be a requirement/recommendation that relationship statements are closed when their associated entity statements are?

Yes, data users should be able to rely on the fact that: if at a given point in time a relationship record is not 'closed' then both subject and interestedParty records are not 'closed'.
