The Institute for Transportation Studies at University of California has done this interesting study on Sharing Mobility Data for Planning and Policy Research from 2020, which includes some charts of "Mobility Data Sharing Specifications" (not to be confused with MDS) fields and data asked for ad-hoc from 6 cities like (Table 2, page 8). Table 3, page 11 also specifies "Sufficiency of Data Specification for Analyses" for different use cases like regulatory compliance, curb management, labor, congestion pricing, safety records, TNC vehicle electrification/EV, speed violations, transit ridership, modal comparison, etc. https://escholarship.org/content/qt88p873g4/qt88p873g4.pdf?t=q5ng1u |
This will be a topic at July 21's working group meeting, specifically Passenger Services Data Field Mapping, field difficulty classification, and some use case documentation. |

Austin, TX collects trip-level data for it's Ride Austin program including ids for passengers and drivers, start and end locations and times, etc. Details of the data and analysis of deadheading can be found in this University of Texas study and some open data here. |
