Hydro and biomass power plants will be integrated based on data from MaStR and NEP 2021.
Existing power plants from MaStR will be scaled linear to meet target values per federal state from NEP 2021 (prox2now expansion).

I started to add the biomass power plants and noticed some possible issues:

  • there are existing biomass CHP plants < 10MW but they seem to be not listed as small CHP in NEP data
  • Data from NEP is in GW with only one decimal place which is very inaccurate, especially for the carriers with smaller capacities (e.g. biomass). For some federal states, all biomass plants are removed. CHP plants in these cases have no el_capacity but a thermal capacity. Will we delete those plants?
  • there are wrong geometry entries, this might be fixed when using new MaStR data
