I cannot open the Interpreting and checking tool. Why?

Make sure you have correctly installed the Catalogue browser first and then the Interpreting and checking tool following this guide.

I cannot see the launch ICT button in the Catalogue browser. Why?

Make sure you have opened the MTX catalogue. In case of first installation of the tool restart the catalogue browser as it needs to refresh all its content for the tool.

Why I receive errors while launching the tool?

Probably you moved the tool in a different path! The tool should reside inside the Catalogue Browser main folder.

Why I receive old information after the decode process?

Make sure you upload the MTX catalogue used by the Interpreting and checking tool. This could be done manually from the catalogue browser under Tools -> Update ICT db, or automatically by accepting the message which will appear after clicking on the download button which appears when a new update of the catalogue is available. Be sure that you restart the tool after performing a database update.

An error appears after click on the decode button, what should I do?

This error occurs usually because the name of the main folder of the Catalogue Browser contains spaces or other special characters which are mapped in a different way from the compiler.

Close the Catalogue browser and the ICT, so rename the main folder using “-“or “_” instead of the spaces (e.g. “EFSA-catalogues browser installer-win-32bit” becomes “EFSA-catalogues-browser-installer-win-32bit”).
