• Reuse the old manage tags sidebar
• Click on the Align button of the navbar (Course Outline: Info Sidebar & Navbar - Basics #2623) opens the Align Sidebar for the course
• Click the Manage tags menu item in sections/subsections opens the Align Sidebar
• The Taxonomy sidebar should utilize the correct heading: if a section is selected, the context for the sidebar heading should reflect the section.
• Will be adding existing tickets as subissues here for potential changes if possible.

Hi @ChrisChV; we'd like to add a way to select libraries to show/ some sort of logic for taxonomy order. This is yet to be defined, but will likely follow whatever pattern we settle on for library selection in the "add content" sidebar

@edschema I'm not sure what you mean by "select libraries", because in general for course containers like sections/units/etc., there would not be any library involved when you use the align tab to align it to a taxonomy. Unless that container happens to have come from a library, but most don't.

Hi @bradenmacdonald, that was a mis-type..! It should read "we'd like to add a way to select taxonomies..." This has been descoped, though.

[keeping below text for the record. but filtering taxonomies is out of scope of this effort]
For the record here, we wanted to avoid a listing of taxonomies that showed irrelevant taxonomies/ taxonomies. The idea originally was that the taxonomy selection would look like the library selection dropdown with associated logic of some sort. Something like below. But again, this is out of scope now:

Taxonomy sidebar takes the contents of the current taxonomy sidebar and puts them into the new sidebar.
Will be adding existing tickets as subissues here for potential changes if possible.
