The letter ä is always rendered uppercase

Bug Description

Anywhere in the web ui, including the text and markdown editors, the letter ä is displayed as Ä. This seems to only affect this particular letter, with ö, ü, etc. unaffected.

Reproduction Steps

For example, write the letter ä into the search bar.

Expected Outcome

The letter is displayed lowercase correctly.

Actual Outcome

The letter ä is displayed uppercase as Ä.
