Summary

  • add a small npmscan workflow that runs on pull requests touching package.json or pnpm-lock.yaml
  • start in mode: warn so the report is visible without changing merge policy
  • pin the action to the current v1.3.0 commit and keep fail-on-error: false to avoid blocking merges on scanner outages

Why

This adds PR-time dependency diff review for cases normal vulnerability audits often miss, especially new install scripts, lockfile source changes, and changed overrides/resolutions.

Test plan

  • Open a PR that changes package.json or pnpm-lock.yaml
  • Confirm the npmscan workflow runs
  • Confirm the workflow posts findings in warn mode without failing the PR
  • Confirm unrelated PRs do not trigger the workflow
