I don't think we've heard of any reports of this issue, so it's likely specific to your machine or configuration. Let's see if we can figure out what's going on.

First, open the "Output" tab in VS Code and selecting "Codex" to view the extension's logs. Are there any clues in that output that might help us understand what's going on?

Second, choose "Open Webview Developer Tools" from the command palette in VS Code. This will display the Chrome developer tools. Select the "Console" tab to display any output from the Codex web view. Are there any clues in the console output that might explain what's happening here?
