Unable to use forward slash or @ in windows terminal

Trying to enter windows paths or @ does nothing. If pasting such characters - they get stripped. In vscode it seems to work.

@JKamsker can you say more about your Windows Terminal setup? I'm unable to reproduce this error using codex v0.50.0 in Powershell or Command Prompt

Hi @dylan-hurd-oai, thanks for following up!

I’m still seeing the problem and here’s the full setup:

• Windows Terminal 1.23.12811.0 (Microsoft Store build)
• Profile that repros: Windows.Terminal.PowershellCore / PowerShell 7.5.3. I can reproduce it in the Windows PowerShell and cmd.exe profiles inside Windows Terminal as well.
• Keyboard layout: German (de-DE / de-AT); AltGr+ß should emit /.
• codex-cli 0.50.0 (fresh install today). No custom Windows Terminal keybindings beyond the defaults (ctrl+c, ctrl+v, etc.).

Repro steps:

1. Open Windows Terminal → PowerShell.
2. Run codex.
3. Try to type AltGr+ß. Nothing is inserted. If I paste text containing that character, it’s stripped as soon as the line is processed.
4. Pasting also strips those characters

If I launch VS Code and open the codex plugin (GUI), the character works as expected there and when resuming the same session in Windows Terminal, it displays correctly.

Happy to capture any additional diagnostics (logs, key dumps, etc.) if that’d help.
