Objectives :

• Soundness of the first release
• Completeness of the first release
• Conformance to the WP2 requirements

Scope :

The first release focused on the requirement and system level modeling only. The first release also intend to provide the tool platform used for further tool integration. Please check if there is no missing info to start using the tool chain.

My feedback to the document:

• In 1.1, I would omit ellipses (...). No need to enumerate the components of Eclipse Modeling (as this is implicitly documented in the distribution).
• I would at least name the major version, in this case Kepler
• Is Egit really preinstalled with the Modeling tools? I didn't check.

Yes, the modeling edition contains Egit

hello my quick feedback

the document is quite minimalistic: it just describes the installation procedure
this is clearly stated in the abstract so fine (for now)

however I would expect to state/remin what is openETCS toolchain, what is the current scope of V1.0 and what are the plan for the future. This can be done in a later release or just by pointing to another deliverable (however I would prefer something quite self contained)

other issues which would probably interest the industrial user:

• how can I integrated openETCS within my toolchain ? (e.g. using EMF tools...)
• how can I version openETCS projects ?
• how to work in team with openETCS ?

suggestion: this could be some kind of FAQ

about the installation procedure, it is quite simple however screenshots can help (but I agree it can evolved over time with Eclipse releases)

Thanks for your feedback. As you rightly point out, the current deliverable is a compromise, intended to provide stability, while not yet being able to provide a proper build. Starting January, we plan on having regular releases, consisting of a single download, with all included.

Having said that, let me address your issues:

• I "would expect to state/remin what is openETCS toolchain,(...) just by pointing to another deliverable" - *For this release, I suggest to add a link to http://openetcs.org/tool/ *
• "how can I integrated openETCS within my toolchain ?" - I would consider this outside the scope of this document, as it is for users, not developers.
• "how can I version openETCS projects ?" This will be part of the user guide (this is the installation guide). We'll definitely cover it there.
• "how to work in team with openETCS ?" - Again this, is user/process information. I believe Marielle is working on this in the context of WP2.
• "suggestion: this could be some kind of FAQ" - This is definitely a good idea and will be needed soon. But again, it's outside the scope of D7.4
• "about the installation procedure, it is quite simple however screenshots can help (but I agree it can evolved over time with Eclipse releases)" - Hopefully, the next release will already have a much simpler installation process.

@cponsard, Please let me know if these resolutions are satisfying.
