Reconsider the experimental ExtendedTracer API in light of proposal to deprecate Span recordException

An option I like would be to stamp exception.type and exception.message (but not exception.stacktrace) directly onto the span from these methods.

Though I think we need to work this out still in open-telemetry/opentelemetry-specification#4333.

It seems like you may be talking about ExtendedSpanBuilder, and all the APIs for startAnd(Call|Run), which call recordException if the code throws?
