Tagging a new version

Hi @leif81,

thanks for taking care of the latest PRs from @GigiElt. We are using OpenDIS extensively in a few projects and not having to maintain a separate fork is a huge time saver.

Would it be possible to tag a new version of the library with the latest changes? This would allow us to request an update of the corresponding Conan recipe, and, in turn, use the library directly from ConanCenter.

I think this is good idea. One of the other contributors helped setup Conan. I will need to familiarize myself with what the process to make a new release is.

Technically speaking tags and releases are 2 different things in GitHub.
One has to first create a new git tag as you suggested (this should be enough for interacting with Conan, btw).

Tags will be listed here.

Once you have a tag, you can create a Release from it. This is usually useful because releases appear in the main page of the project and are in general more accessible and visible to the user.

Once we have a tag (and possibly a release) we can open a PR to the ConanCenter Index to update the conandata.yml to include the new version. I can do it if you like.

I don't think there is any major change in the building process of the library so I guess the current conan recipe should work for the new version as well.
