Content usability review #1346

@jpmckinney

Description

@jpmckinney

Common content usability problems include (which may or may not exist in the docs):

  • Not cutting to the chase, e.g. burying the lede
  • Not providing enough context or examples
  • Wrong information at the wrong time (e.g. too much detail too early)
  • Unclear labels or too little sign-posting for unfamiliar users (i.e. need clearer menu options and headings)
  • Inappropriate content for certain users (e.g. JSON blob on page for policy persona)
  • The higher-level content ought to be shallower in the content tree, and the granular-level content deeper
