SteamVR's status window (
vrmonitor, Qt 5 over XWayland) opens on the focused workspace, tiles into the layout and takes focus, and its error dialogs do the same mid-game. When VR shuts down the window often lingers in the tiling layout. This adds
default/hypr/apps/steamvr.lua, matchingvrmonitoronly:It doesn't hide the window: SteamVR reports headset/pairing errors there, so it stays reachable. Steam's own windows are left to
steam.lua(main-window tiling is covered by #9271 / #10123).Related: #8701 / #8811 (vrmonitor aborts under QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland;xcb), #12443 (SteamVR killed by RLIMIT_RTTIME since 4.0.4).
Tested
Tested on a Framework Desktop (AMD Strix Halo, Omarchy 4.0.4, Hyprland), with SteamVR running and the
vrmonitorwindows checked live viahyprctl clients -j:vrmonitor: the "SteamVR Status" window (302x302) and an untitledvrmonitorhelper window (302x100), so matching^vrmonitor$covers both.no_initial_focusandfocus_on_activate = falseare there to stop.
