The 504 branch is out-of-date

Using the 504 branch of merlin and the latest 5.4 branch from ocaml/ocaml, i get the following error message:

Compiler version mismatch: this project seems to be compiled with a version of the OCaml compiler that is 
not supported by this version of Merlin. OCaml language support will not work properly until this problem 
is fixed.
Hint: It seems that the project is built with a newer OCaml compiler version that the running Merlin version
does not know about. Make sure your editor runs a version of Merlin that supports this version of the compiler.
