This pull request tweaks the way we clear the caches
when we are trying to reduce the heap before we call
the assembler. The only interesting change is to not
clear the persistent environment, because it is used to
create the
cmxfile afterwards.If the persistent environment is cleared, then the
cmxfile will have an empty set of imported interfaces. This
was spotted during reproducibility checks, but is also
potentially forgetting consistency checks.
