I cannot query using the date syntax

Like others have said, I am new to Obsidian and I really like this plug in (and I am probably old enough to be your Mom!). A couple of things I cannot get working:

1. When using the query syntax that includes a date, I get an error "Tasks query: do not understand due date." I am sure there is a setting or something I am doing wrong. I would appreciate the guidance.
2. I was using the Day Planner plugin as well. I like seeing the vertical timeline. However, if I use a global label, the Day Planner timeline functionality doesn't work because my global label gets put before the time I planned on starting the task. Am I missing something, or do I need to choose between the plugins?

Hey Rhonda,

Glad you find use for the plugin! To answer your questions:

1. It is difficult to help without a concrete example of what you are trying to do and how. Can you please give an example of a date filter that you are trying to use? Do the examples in the README make things clearer for you?
2. This is a good point and something that I haven’t thought of when I created tasks. Right now, this means you cannot have a global filter and the day planner plugin. I am sorry about that. I don’t use the day planner and therefore I never noticed. There is a discussion here about having the global filter somewhere else than the beginning of the line: Global Task Filter should work anywhere on the line #75 Please chime in and vote on it. I’ll also add a comment.

Thank you for such a quick reply. I was using the Agenda example you posted. I do have the calendar plugin. However, I used your other examples and it is working for me now. I don't think I had your most up to date readme file. Thank you for that.

Also, thanks for adding the change to #75. I will go in and vote. I appreciate your response and look forward to learning more. I had 5 years of computer science a long time ago...wrote C++, VB, Cobal and something else a long time ago. I am getting back into learning again. I look forward to talking with you again!

I got it! I even added an overdue task section that goes before Due today.
