Part of #10993
Clause-②: yes

Batch 1 of the family card: member 2, object-form, repaired end to end, and the census measured (table below). ObjectForm resolves the seven I18nLabel members of ComponentPropsMap['object-form'] with pickLocalized against useObjectTranslation().language, once, above its formType fork, so every presentation it routes to receives a string. The registration declares both arms for the seven keys, ObjectFormSchema types them as I18nLabel, and the zod mirror takes the spec's I18nLabelSchema by reference for the five it declares. The other census members are not repaired here; the seat files or batches the raw reads from the table. Draft: a dispatched dev's PR (claim comment 5882993226, branch claude/issue-10993-object-form-i18nlabel), so ready and landing belong to the seat. Measured at head aa6013903, which carries main at bf7ab35ce (objectui#11000's PR 11047 included).

What changed

  • packages/plugin-form/src/ObjectForm.tsx: localizeFormLabels resolves title, description, submitText, cancelText, nextText, prevText and successMessage inside the dispatcher's schema memo, right after foldFormButtons, for the reason sections[].group is resolved above the fork: every presentation reads them, so one site covers the simple, tabbed, split, wizard, drawer and modal forms and the master-detail route. Only the map arm is touched: a string, or any non-object value, is handed on as authored, and a map with no usable entry becomes undefined, so the presentation's own default shows. It returns its input untouched when no member is a map. LocalizedObjectFormSchema (a homomorphic mapped type; Omit collapses on BaseSchema's index signature) types the memo and SimpleObjectForm's schema. WizardForm.tsx, DrawerForm.tsx and ModalForm.tsx are not edited: they receive strings.
  • packages/plugin-form/src/index.tsx: the seven object-form inputs declare type: ['string', 'object'], with descriptions that teach the per-locale map, in the same change that taught the render site to resolve it (the ComponentInput rule, objectui#5590).
  • packages/types/src/objectql.ts: the seven ObjectFormSchema members widen from string to I18nLabel.
  • packages/types/src/zod/objectql.zod.ts: title, description, submitText, cancelText and successMessage widen from z.string() to stripImportedDefaults(SpecI18nLabelSchema).optional(), the spec's schema BY REFERENCE (I18nLabelSchema is exported by @objectstack/spec/ui and was already imported here for the chart title). nextText and prevText were never mirrored and stay unmirrored (see Acceptance notes).
  • packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx (outside the claim's file surface): ObjectViewSchema.form takes ObjectFormSchema's slot keys, so the widening widened the object-view form.title / form.description with it, and plugin-view's type-check refused ObjectView's two raw reads (the drawer and modal header it draws around the form). Both now resolve with pickLocalized against the same UI language. Measured below; the hunks stay clear of the regions objectui#10982 edits.
  • scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs: ObjectFormSchema leaves CLAIM_DEBT. check:spec-symbols refused the stale entry once the mirror referenced a spec schema; the block is what --claim-ledger prints.
  • Tests: packages/plugin-form/src/ObjectForm.i18nLabels.test.tsx, packages/types/src/__tests__/object-form-i18n-label-members-10993.test.ts, apps/console/src/__tests__/objectFormI18nLabelManifest.test.ts and packages/plugin-view/src/__tests__/ObjectView.formLabelsI18nLabel-10993.test.tsx (new); seven MEMBER_PINS rows in registry-inputs-spec-parity.test.ts; in zod-mirror-parity.test.ts, objectql.zod.ts#ObjectFormSchema joins SPEC_DERIVED_PAIRS, so its UnmirroredDeclared entry (21 keys, none touched) moves from the split's LOCAL half to the SPEC-DERIVED half, and the header figures and history sentences follow.
  • content/docs/api/schema-reference.md: the ObjectFormSchema table types the seven as string \| I18nLabel.
  • .changeset/10993-object-form-i18nlabel.md: @object-ui/plugin-form patch, @object-ui/plugin-view patch, @object-ui/types minor (the widening), with the Clause-②: yes line.

Premise checks

  • The row. Enumerated at runtime from the installed @objectstack/spec 17.4.0 ComponentPropsMap['object-form']: exactly seven members are the I18nLabel union (string or a record of string to string), the seven the card names. sections and customFields type no nested label.
  • The red. Reproduced before any edit, through the real SchemaRenderer under a zh provider: { type: 'object-form', properties: { objectName, mode: 'create', submitText: { en, 'zh-CN' } } } rendered Component "form" failed to render with "Objects are not valid as a React child (found: object with keys {en, zh-CN})". It is pinned (red on base, below).
  • The readers, measured per presentation. SimpleObjectForm: submitText and cancelText into the form node's submitLabel / cancelLabel (both of its render branches), successMessage into four success-toast sites. TabbedForm, SplitForm: submitText / cancelText. WizardForm: nextText, prevText, submitText, cancelText, successMessage. DrawerForm, ModalForm: title / description as the header, submitText / cancelText in the footer; neither reads successMessage. EmbeddableForm reads its own config.title, a different node. The master-detail route forwards title, submitText and cancelText to MasterDetailForm, which already resolves them (PR objectui#10986).
  • The validator, before. safeValidateSchema refused a map on the five mirrored members (invalid_type at the member) and did not judge nextText / prevText at all (a map and a number both parsed). Separately, it refuses the { type, properties } form of object-form wholesale (objectName invalid_type, mode invalid_value, even for properties: { objectName: 'order' }), because the arm is the flat mirror. That is reported, not changed here.
  • By reference. Yes: stripImportedDefaults(SpecI18nLabelSchema), which returns the spec object itself for a schema with no defaults.

Evidence

All runs at aa6013903 unless a line says otherwise, through the shared verify lock on a shared box.

  • pnpm exec vitest run over packages/plugin-form/ (in two halves, for the foreground cap): Test Files 68 passed (68), Tests 550 passed (550), and Test Files 73 passed (73), Tests 1115 passed | 1 skipped (1116).
  • packages/types/: Test Files 279 passed (279), Tests 6432 passed (6432).
  • packages/plugin-view/ with app-shell's block-config-schema-parity-8216.test.ts and block-config.test.ts: Test Files 61 passed (61), Tests 630 passed (630).
  • The registry-reading suites (the 15 console files that import register-plugins, including the parity gate and both I18nLabel manifest pins; cli spec-vocabulary-hint, validate-union-arm-selection and registered-types-validate-ratchet-10859; schema-catalog catalog-gallery-render and safe-validate-corpus-6318): Test Files 20 passed (20), Tests 999 passed (999).
  • Every test that names check-spec-symbol-derivation (the gate script this PR edits): Test Files 31 passed (31), Tests 630 passed (630).
  • turbo run build --filter='@object-ui/plugin-view^...' (15 tasks), then pnpm --filter type-check for @object-ui/types, @object-ui/plugin-form and @object-ui/plugin-view, joined by &&: exit 0.
  • Gates, each exit 0: check-changeset-presence, changeset:check, check:changeset-claims, check:pending-changeset-literals, check:control-bytes, check:new-line-citations (0 new), check:spec-symbols, check:vi-mock-specifiers, check:vi-mock-inherit, check:vi-mock-override-shape, check:test-path-roots, check:handler-key-reads, check:i18n-keys, check:registry-bare-names, check:prompt-keys, check:unreferenced-sources, check:phantom-deps, check:component-surface-parity, check:doc-types, check:doc-fences, check:element-data-source-declaration, check:designer-field-key-parity. check-governed-queue-guard --test over the 14 paths: NOT GOVERNED.
  • ESLint, narrowed and proven: the population is the config's own files: ['**/*.{ts,tsx}'] block over tseslint.configs.recommended; --format json over the 12 changed code files reports 12 files, 0 errors, 173 warnings, 0 of them on a line this branch adds. The config enables no type-aware linting (no project, projectService or TypeChecked in eslint.config.js) and no eslint-rules/ rule reads another file, so this diff cannot move a verdict on an untouched file.

Red on base, then green. The three fix files were committed, then replaced on disk by their b3c96d6bc blobs under a trap-restore, at 5d58ae2d8 (hashes equal to the base blobs; localizeFormLabels 0, object arms 3, i.e. master-detail's, spec I18nLabelSchema crossings 1, i.e. the chart's). Tests 26 failed | 37 passed (63): the render pin's 7 map rows failed (simple, tabbed and split on Component "form" failed to render, wizard, drawer and modal on Component "object-form" failed to render, all "Objects are not valid as a React child (found: object with keys {en, zh-CN})"; the successMessage row on expected [ '[object Object]' ] to deeply equal [ '订单已保存' ]) and its 5 controls passed; the types pin's 5 map rows failed on invalid_type and 17 passed; the manifest pin's 7 arm rows and 7 map rows failed and 15 passed. Restored: hashes equal the HEAD blobs, git diff HEAD empty. ObjectView.tsx the same way against main's blob: Tests 2 failed | 2 passed (4), the two map rows on "Objects are not valid as a React child".

Type pin, reverse leg. ObjectFormSchema.submitText narrowed back to string on disk: tsc -p tsconfig.test.json fails with TS2344: Type 'false' does not satisfy the constraint 'true' on the assertionLabelMembersAreI18nLabel row (and zod-mirror-parity's wider-than-declared ledger reds too). Restored by hash.

Consumer probe of the built .d.ts. A one-off file outside the repo, with @object-ui/types mapped to packages/types/dist/index.d.ts: locale maps on title and submitText compile; with its @ts-expect-error removed, submitText: 42 fails TS2322 … not assignable to type 'string | (Record … ) | undefined', so the rebuilt declaration is read and is not any.

The render pin's harness. Each row mounts inside an async act. With a plain render and findBy…, three rows that mount after certain earlier rows stayed on "Loading form..." past the find window, deterministically, and the same three did so on the base ObjectForm.tsx too, so it is not this change; committing the mount-time schema read inside act removes it. Every wizard map's zh entry differs from the zh pack's own default for that button (objectui#10999 moved the wizard's defaults to its catalogue), so a map dropped instead of resolved fails its row; the wizard's nothing-authored defaults are left to that card's pin.

The census

Every installed (17.4.0) ComponentPropsMap row's I18nLabel members, enumerated at runtime by walking each row's zod shape for the string-or-record-of-string union, and each objectui renderer's read. 45 rows, 24 with such a member, 56 members: 7 repaired here, 33 already resolving, 6 raw reads, 9 with no read site, 1 with no renderer. "Measured" means a render through the real SchemaRenderer under a zh provider with an en-first map; the rest are read at the named site.

The table is a reading at aa6013903 on spec 17.4.0 and is not re-derived by anything in this PR; the instrument is the enumeration described above plus the named sites.

Acceptance notes

  • NOT MEASURED: check:eager-closure / Bundle Analysis and check:sdui-registration-pins. Reason: both need a full console build. The seven input descriptions ship in the console's eager closure (register-plugins imports @object-ui/plugin-form eagerly).
  • NOT MEASURED: check:doc-snippets and check:doc-examples. Both answered PRECONDITION NOT MET (exit 2): they need 34 packages built. The doc edit adds table rows and one sentence, no fenced snippet.
  • NOT MEASURED: apps/console and @object-ui/app-shell type-check. Reason: their dependency closures were not built here. The console change is two test files. Outside plugin-form and plugin-view, a grep for reads of the seven members off an ObjectFormSchema or ObjectViewSchema['form'] finds none that type-checks against them: FormPage reads a FormViewBody, and ScreenView builds its node through as any. CI's type-check is the reading.
  • nextText and prevText stay unmirrored. They were never declared on the zod mirror, so safeValidateSchema does not judge them (a number parses). Mirroring them would REFUSE values accepted today, a narrowing this widening PR does not make; they stay in the pair's UnmirroredDeclared entry, and the types pin records it.
  • DrawerForm and ModalForm never read successMessage. A source reading, not measured at runtime; recorded, not filed.
  • Two stale cross-file line citations sit in index.tsx's modalCloseButton and contentLayout descriptions, in the registration block this PR edits. Not repaired here: they are a different defect class from this card's. Carrier: none.
  • Main was merged three times (merge commits, no rebase): 2eaf5be27 (objectui#10999, the wizard's catalogue defaults, which this PR's wizard rows now account for), 63ab76112 (objectui#11016's citation rewrite: one textual conflict, on a comment line in ObjectForm.tsx's memo, kept both sides) and bf7ab35ce (objectui#11000's PR 11047, clean).

…ers (objectui#10993)

ObjectForm resolves title, description, submitText, cancelText, nextText,
prevText and successMessage with pickLocalized against the active UI
language, once, above its formType fork. The object-form registration
declares both arms for the seven keys, ObjectFormSchema types them as
I18nLabel, and the zod mirror takes the spec's I18nLabelSchema by
reference for the five it declares.

Pins: the render through the real SchemaRenderer, the manifest public
door, the type and mirror rows, and seven MEMBER_PINS rows.

… and description (objectui#10993)

ObjectViewSchema.form takes ObjectFormSchema's slot keys, so widening
ObjectFormSchema.title and .description to I18nLabel widened the
object-view form slot with them, and plugin-view's type-check refused
the raw reads. ObjectView now resolves both with pickLocalized against
the UI language, the language ObjectForm resolves the same form's other
labels against.

The object-form pin follows main's objectui#10999: the wizard's own
defaults come from its catalogue, so the wizard nothing-authored control
is left to that card's pin, and every wizard map's zh entry differs from
the zh pack's default for the same button.

…claim-ledger (objectui#10993)

ObjectFormSchema's zod mirror now takes the spec's I18nLabelSchema by
reference, so its spec-alignment claim is backed and check:spec-symbols
refuses the stale debt entry. The block is what --claim-ledger prints.

One conflict, in ObjectForm.tsx's schema memo: main rewrote a bare card
citation on the comment line under the memo declaration this branch
retyped. Kept both.

the form presentations; merged without conflict.

⚠️ 60 pending changeset(s) describe a file this change touches

Their bodies publish verbatim into the CHANGELOG at the next release, so this is a request to re-read them against your diff — addressed here because you are the one seat that can answer it without re-deriving anything.

⛔ Nothing here blocks, and nothing here is a verdict on your change. This gate exits 0, is not a required context, and judges name resolution, never meaning: it asked whether a pending body names a file you touched. "Is this sentence still true?" is the one question it will not answer, and the one you are being asked to answer.

    • ActionCondition is removed from @object-ui/types (and from the barrel export). - ActionSchema.condition is retyped to the predicate the runtime actually honours: boolean | string | { dialect?: string; source: string } — the same three arms ActionRunner's own ActionDef.condition carries, and the same vocabulary visible and disabled use. - ActionConditionSchema is removed from @object-ui/types/zod (and from the zod barrel); the condition key now validates against that predicate union. - The two teaching sites (content/docs/core/enhanced-actions.mdx Conditional Execution, content/docs/api/schema-reference.md ActionSchema table) are rewritten to the live vocabulary: condition is a gate; a branch is expressed as separate actions with mutually exclusive conditions.

As first written it credited the zod-mirror-parity ratchet with a zero-drift reading for this pair — but at that time the ratchet measured three directions and was structurally blind to the MIRRORED-but-undeclared one (objectui#9711), so a zero from it recorded that it had not looked in that direction, not that nothing was there. objectui#9725 landed the fourth direction, and it covers this pair BY NAME: packages/types/src/__tests__/zod-mirror-parity.test.ts registers objectql.zod.ts#ObjectGanttSchema in both its mirror map and its declaration map; assertionMirroredUndeclaredMatchesLedger requires every registered pair's mirrored-but-undeclared key set to equal that pair's MirroredUndeclared ledger entry — never for a pair the ledger does not name — and assertionNoVacuousMirroredUndeclaredMeasurement refuses a measurement that has degenerated to any. ⛔ Read this pair's verdict off that reconciliation, which re-derives it on every run, rather than off any figure written here; when this paragraph was authored, on 2026-09-18, it required no MirroredUndeclared entry for the pair.

⭐ AMENDED, and the amendment ships in this same release. The TreeViewSchema slice (604476d97) gave the key a zod arm after all — a NAMED REFUSAL (handlerKeyRefusal(key, 'runtime-slot', label)), never a shape — because "no mirror entry" is not neutral under BaseSchema.passthrough(): it meant an authored { "type": "tree-view", "onNodeClick": { "action": "toast" } } parsed GREEN, survived the parse, and reached a call site that expects a function. ⇒ the three clauses this bullet used to carry are no longer true of the code shipping beside it. The key is now a MEMBER of TreeViewSchema.shape and an authored value is refused BY NAME at path onNodeClick; it has LEFT zod-mirror-parity.test.ts's RuntimeOnlyDeclared for that file's KnownDrift; and it is no longer "the first pair to sit there without also sitting in UnmirroredDeclared" — draining it emptied that difference, so RuntimeOnlyDeclared is now a SUBSET of UnmirroredDeclared and the union of the two equals UnmirroredDeclared itself. ⛔ objectui#6152's ruling is untouched by any of this: what the key still does not have, and never will, is a z.function() shape — no serialized document could satisfy one.

Nothing is retired. Both spellings remain declared on DataTableSchema; onColumnReorder stays declared and stays unwired, exactly as the RuntimeOnlyDeclared ledger in zod-mirror-parity.test.ts records it. Which of the two survives is a declared-surface ruling that stays open and is deliberately not settled here.

.changeset/6286-explain-batch-cap-from-spec.md

  • names scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs → scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs — edited by this change

No value changes and no behaviour changes. The spec exports 200, which is what the local copy said, verified by resolving the installed package and reading the export — both statically (dist/security/index.d.mts) and at runtime through the same specifier the source now uses. What changes is reference identity: if the server relaxes or tightens the cap and the spec follows, the client follows too, instead of paginating at the old boundary with no signal anywhere. The cap's whole point is that an over-cap request is refused with 400 VALIDATION_FAILED rather than truncated, so a client that silently disagrees with it is exactly the drift scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs argues about — and could not catch here: when this change landed, both of its scanners skipped non-exported declarations, and this const was module-local (objectui#5899). objectui#6291 has since removed that filter from both scanners.

.changeset/6639-objectgrid-title-mirrored.md

  • names zod-mirror-parity.test.ts → packages/types/src/__tests__/zod-mirror-parity.test.ts — edited by this change

The gain is the typed refusal: the mirror's .passthrough() base was already admitting any title unexamined, and it now enforces the declared string. zod-mirror-parity.test.ts's UnmirroredDeclared ledger records the key as worked off — the ledger's first shrink by repair (97 + 1 mirrored + 23 reclassified is what the seeded "121" now means).

Measured on origin/main 78a3cc238: KanbanImpl.tsx reads .cards on 12 lines, KanbanEnhanced.tsx on 8, and bucketCardsIntoColumns twice more as col.cards || []; .items had zero read sites in either board (a same-shaped .title control on the same two files returns 8 and 3, so those zeros are readings and not a mis-shaped probe). Both catalog entries, the plugin docs and content/docs/api/schema-reference.md all author cards.

What was measured, on this branch's base. TreeViewSchema declared two spellings for its one inline-nodes slot — nodes (read second) and data (read third: boundData || schema.nodes || schema.data || [] at renderers/data-display/tree-view.tsx:105), both declared by objectui#6150. data had been REQUIRED until 777e5c6f4 (PR fix(types): tree-view mirror stops requiring the limb it reads third (group 2 of objectui#6939) #7533) made it optional, so this retirement starts from a declared-and-optional member on both faces. The in-repo corpus at the retirement: seven tree-view nodes under examples/schema-catalog and packages/types/examples plus one content/docs fence — six on nodes, two on data (packages/types/examples/data-display-examples.json and content/docs/api/schema-reference.md), both rewritten; no package source authored either spelling.

Nothing in this repository calls the throwing combinators on either const, and the published surface already ships refined mirrors (objectql.zod.ts, complex.zod.ts, form.zod.ts, app.zod.ts), so the class is not new — but it is a real behaviour change on a published export and it belongs in the release note rather than in a reviewer's file.

The authored-metadata type now agrees with @objectstack/spec, whose FormSectionSchema is a strict object declaring neither key, and with the ruling's rationale (maintainer 2026-09-01, verbatim): "retire the reads … Declaring the keys was weighed and not adopted: it would formally invite free Tailwind strings into authored metadata, the exact class the boundary exists to keep out." A ?: never tombstone was not used: ObjectFormSection has no zod mirror (ObjectFormSchema in zod/objectql.zod.ts does not declare sections), so there is no parse door to refuse at, and a tombstone is still a declaration in completion and in the published .d.ts.

Every other tombstone in this package pairs ?: never with a retirementTombstone() refusal on the Zod twin. There is no twin here to carry one: FloatingChatbotConfig has no Zod mirror at all, and floatingConfig sits in the UnmirroredDeclared ledger (zod-mirror-parity.test.ts, complex.zod.ts#ChatbotSchema). BaseSchema is .passthrough(), so the whole floatingConfig object rides through unvalidated — before this change and after it. Minting a mirror to host a refusal would be the declared-but-UNMIRRORED axis (objectui#6152), a different defect: a key can be mirrored and inert, or unmirrored and live, and fixing one says nothing about the other. This change does not widen into it.

'retired' publishes "no renderer reads this key, so nothing could ever run it" — true of the two siblings already tombstoned on this arm (onSelectChange, onExpandChange) and flatly false here, since the read is live and INVOKED. ⚠️ No in-repo host builds a tree-view node carrying the key: the channel is wired end to end and only the supplier is absent, which is the same shape as ObjectFormSchema.onStepChange in this card's objectql.ts slice and is not evidence of a dead read. The TypeScript declaration is unchanged and still callable, so a programmatic host supplies it exactly as before.

AnyComponentSchema declares 107 node component types. 105 of them could be named on the ./zod barrel — ButtonSchema.safeParse(node), which is what a designer, a form builder or a targeted test needs. The arms declaring type: 'breadcrumb' (navigation.zod.ts) and type: 'object-tree' (objectql.zod.ts) could not: both were already export const in their own module, but index.zod.ts — the package's only zod entry point — did not re-export them, so the schemas existed, were maintained, and were applied by the union while no consumer could name them.

A registration's type: 'array' said a value was a list and stopped there, so a member that drifted from @objectstack/spec was invisible to every layer that reads a declaration. page:header.actions is the measured cost: the contract declares z.array(z.string()) ("Action IDs"), the renderer read the members as ActionDef objects, and the repo-wide parity gate in apps/console/src/__tests__/registry-inputs-spec-parity.test.ts stayed green for the whole life of the drift because both sides carried the key and neither could say what was inside it. What settled it was a maintainer ruling, not a test — and even after the fix, "these are ids" survived only as English in the registration's description.

The other direction — retiring the promise — was considered and declined. It is what c1fe272ad did for BaseSchema.hidden, but that key had a working behaviour to describe and zero named consumers, and the ruling's decline turned on exactly that. This promise already has carriers outside the type declaration: content/docs/api/schema-reference.md states it as a table row and authors testId in that page's own base-schema example, @object-ui/cli's OBJECTUI_STRUCTURAL_KEYS identifies a file as an ObjectUI schema node by this key, ObjectGridSlotKey / ObjectFormSlotKey pin it, SchemaBuilder.testId() writes it, and ADR-0054 C4 — shipped — reads "the renderer emits data-testid … derived from metadata".

The parity ledgers drain with it, every figure re-derived by zod-mirror-parity.test.ts's own AST and mirror instruments rather than stepped by hand: KnownDrift 42 entries / 64 keys → 41 / 63 (the entry's whole content, so the entry went too — the ledger's first loss by RETIRING a key rather than by moving either face toward the other), and WiderThanDeclared 23 / 36 / 47 arms, split 6 / 30 / 0 / 11 → 22 / 35 / 45, split 6 / 29 / 0 / 10. The pair itself stays registered, so EXPECTED_MIRROR_PAIRS does not move.

Why this key and not another. It was the ONE place in this vocabulary where body did not mean "what goes inside this component": zod-mirror-parity.test.ts carried the pair under KnownDrift as "two different meanings of one key", and the same collision was the whole reason chatbot was the single arm of the component union whose output was not assignable to SchemaNode. Both ledger rows move with this change, and the two pins that recorded the old state are INVERTED rather than deleted (see below).

  • names content/docs/api/schema-reference.md → content/docs/api/schema-reference.md — edited by this change

title — retired. ListView resolved its export filename through schema.label || (schema as any).title. @objectstack/spec/ui's ListViewSchema refuses title by name (unrecognized_keys: ['title']) while ObjectGridPropsSchema accepts it; packages/types mirrors the platform contract rather than ruling over it, so declaring title on ListViewSchema would have made this repo accept what the platform save gate rejects. That asymmetry is also why objectui#6639 could take the declare branch for ObjectGridSchema.title one package over and this site could not. A parse-based census of apps/ examples/ content/ and packages/ found zero list-view nodes authoring title, so the retirement costs no author a filename. Over that same corpus the instrument reports three object-grid nodes carrying the key: two authored ones, both in content/docs/api/schema-reference.md, plus one that is not authored at all — packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx composes title: schema.table?.title onto a grid node it builds, so it is a producer writing the key rather than an author declaring it. Moving one of those objects to the top-level fields resolves to no name and is skipped by SimpleObjectForm (ObjectForm.tsx) and by buildFlatFields (flatFields.ts, shared by the drawer/modal presentations). Behaviour is unchanged by this entry; it only adds the description text an author would need to avoid the drop before writing it.

SortConfig.order carries no ? in @object-ui/types (packages/types/src/objectql.ts) and no .optional() in its zod mirror, and the protocol's own reusable SortItemSchema requires order as well — measured: that schema refuses [{ field: 'name' }] with invalid_value at 0.order. Do not omit it: this block's array arm interpolates whatever is present, so an omitted order lowers to $orderby: 'name undefined' today. That is pre-existing behaviour on the arm this change does not touch, and it is filed as a successor card rather than widened into here.

So this package's published face accepted what the contract rejects, and an author who followed @object-ui/types was refused at publish with Unrecognized key(s) on this tree configuration: 'titleField'. The copy was invisible to scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs, which matches spec symbols BY NAME — a hand copy renamed away from the spec's symbol has nothing for its rule 1 to match (objectui#4592's recorded blind spot).

objectql.zod.ts's UserActionsSchema read stripImportedDefaults(Spec).extend({ group, hideFields, rowColor }), an extension that existed only because @objectstack/spec did not declare those three keys while normalizeListViewSchema folded objectui's legacy showGroup / showHideFields / showColor onto them. The protocol adopted all three in 17.3.0 (objectui#5435's ruling), so the extension is now a second local copy of a protocol declaration — the shape two faces start drifting from — and it collapses into the plain by-reference re-export its own note always said it would become.

⚠️ The census behind this narrowing covers this repository only, and it found no in-repo authoring to migrate: every in-tree layout: 'grid' belongs to a different component (detail-view in content/docs/api/schema-reference.md and phase2-schemas.test.ts, ai-recommendations in packages/plugin-ai/README.md), and the one in-repo consumer of this interface that writes a layout (p1-spec-alignment.test.ts) writes 'horizontal'. So no document in this repository stops type-checking. A TypeScript consumer outside this repo that wrote grid is not observable from here and gets a compile error (TS2322) naming the key — which is why the FROM/TO is spelled out above.

⭐ The declaration alone would not have been enough, and this is the reusable part. A TypeScript declaration does not run at parse time. The hand-written zod mirror is the only face in this repository that can refuse an authored number, so narrowing the declaration without the mirror would have shipped declared !== enforced on a published surface — and zod-mirror-parity.test.ts would have stayed GREEN through it, because that instrument asserts a mirror accepts everything its declaration declares and a mirror left WIDER passes. Both faces moved together for that reason.

ObjectQLComponentSchema declares the node types an ObjectQL block may be. Every one of its arms was a named export of this package's root barrel except ObjectTreeSchema, which was declared in objectql.ts, applied by the union, and re-exported by the ./zod barrel (objectui#7917) — while no TypeScript consumer could name it. There is no ./objectql subpath to reach around the barrel: the package's exports map is pinned by packages/types/src/__tests__/package-exports-manifest.test.ts, and the root barrel was the only route to this type.

An authored { "id": "todo", "title": "To Do", "collapsed": true } therefore parsed green on both faces and reached a board that did nothing with it: KanbanImpl's only collapse is the SWIMLANE row's, held in viewer state under objectui:kanban-collapsed:ANGLE-BRACKETS(swimlaneField) and never keyed to a lane's declared value. That is the ADR-0049 declared-but-unhonoured shape.

Both types are therefore derived from the spec's own FormSection / FormView with named narrowings — the repo's sanctioned form for a spec-shaped local type (scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs) — rather than restated. Every key the two layers agree on comes from the spec and cannot fall behind it; the four positions where this layer is deliberately narrower are each named in an Omit list and restated once next to its reason: fields keeps the converged 26-key leaf (deriving it would silently re-open [finding] A THIRD inline copy of the form-field authoring contract lives in apps/console FormPage.tsx — objectui#5040 converged only the app-shell two #5542), and label / description / visibleWhen / visibleOn keep the shapes this repo's renderers and evaluators actually consume rather than the spec's I18nLabel and ExpressionInput. apps/console's submitBehavior union — previously hand-written under the comment "Mirrors the spec FormView.submitBehavior union" — is now read back off the shared type, making the mirror structural. @object-ui/app-shell re-exports both names from its package root (type-only, erased at build — nothing is added to the bundle), because a type that cannot be imported is a type that gets retyped.

crud had four declaration faces and no registered renderer, for the whole life of the key: the TS interface (packages/types/src/crud.ts), the zod mirror (packages/types/src/zod/crud.zod.ts), a dedicated branch in validateSchema that affirmatively PASSED it, and CRUDBuilder in @object-ui/core. A node spelling it painted the OBJUI-001 "Unknown component type" panel, and content/docs/api/schema-reference.md published it as reference material — so a reader (or an AI author) who copied the page got a red panel.

  • names api/schema-reference.md → content/docs/api/schema-reference.md — edited by this change

Authoring crud is now REFUSED BY NAME rather than passed or silently ignored. validateSchema returns an error with code: 'RETIRED_TYPE' on schema.type — at any depth, since it is what validateChildren recurses with — so assertValidSchema throws and isValidSchema answers false. The message names the migration: object-grid for the record table with its toolbar, filters, pagination and row/batch actions, object-form for the create/edit form, and detail for the record view. api/schema-reference.md is rewritten around those shapes.

  • names scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs → scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs — edited by this change

objectui#4966 — formatActionLabel's docblock now sits above formatActionLabel. It had drifted two declarations up, so the exported parseSortConfig carried two stacked leading comments and the helper carried none. This one was not cosmetic: because parseSortConfig is exported, vite-plugin-dts copied the misattributed block into dist/ListView.d.ts, so every consumer's editor hover and TypeDoc introduced the sort parser with a sentence about action labels. Moving the block removes it from the .d.ts; formatActionLabel is module-private, so its now-correct docblock does not appear there. It also matters to scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs, whose rule 2 reads the comment block attached to a declaration — a misattributed docblock is the mechanism by which a claim gets scored against the wrong symbol. This block carries no spec-alignment phrase, so nothing fired today.

  • names packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx → packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx — edited by this change

What was measured. Every reading was taken on the object-view node renderer (packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx, registered by plugin-view/src/index.tsx) with schema.objectName / schema.layout as the positive controls of the same schema.KEY query, so each zero is a reading; the repo-wide census of viewTabBar finds the key in no source file outside @object-ui/types (two doc tables listed it as authorable and are corrected here). The spec side was read through the installed pin (@objectstack/spec@17.2.0, ui entry, 117 exported object schemas walked; control keys objectName / columns / navigation / listViews hit): the three spec-modelled keys are optional slots on ListViewSchema and ObjectListViewSchema; the six local keys have no spec slot anywhere.

  • names content/docs/api/schema-reference.md → content/docs/api/schema-reference.md — edited by this change

listViews stays unmirrored, on the ruling's own fallback clause. The declaration's value is the local NamedListView — 64 declared top-level members (⚠️ re-taken at objectui#8980, which added the seventeen the protocol declares on this surface to the 47 this entry first measured), of which the renderer reads 21 off a named view. data is one of the 21 now: it used to reach the renderer through an as any cast on the named-view config in packages/plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx and be declared nowhere, and the objectui#8980 ruling declared it by name — objectui#7928's open half, answered. The spec's ViewSchema.listViews is a record of the STRICT ObjectListViewSchema, which requires columns and refuses options, ObjectQL tuple filters and default — that is, it refused the named views this package's own README and content/docs/api/schema-reference.md taught when this entry was written ({ label: 'All Users' } fails at columns; filter: [["owner", "=", "..."]] fails at filter.0), and objectui#8255 has since rewritten them in the spec shape. Mirroring the spec value would have lost documented behaviour; mirroring the local value would enforce 43 unread members (64 declared, minus the 21 that are both declared and read) into the contract — the very thing ruling B refused for the six local keys. The key therefore stays in the parity ledger with that measurement, pinned, until the maintainer decides its value type. It is not papered over with z.any().

  • names zod-mirror-parity.test.ts → packages/types/src/__tests__/zod-mirror-parity.test.ts — edited by this change

Who is NOT affected: every correctly typed document, and every document that never wrote these keys — absent stays valid on all nine. No renderer changed. The parity ledger (zod-mirror-parity.test.ts) records the move: UnmirroredDeclared 14 entries / 96 keys to 14 / 87, the ObjectViewSchema entry re-derived into the SPEC-DERIVED half because the mirror now references the spec in code.

.changeset/table-renderer-declared-column-contract-5350.md

  • names content/docs/api/schema-reference.md → content/docs/api/schema-reference.md — edited by this change

What makes this site different from its three siblings is that the alias was not merely tolerated, it was published. content/docs/api/schema-reference.md §TableSchema shipped a copyable { "name": "id", "label": "#" } example and a property row reading "Column definitions with name, label, …", while packages/types declared the opposite pair. Docs and type disagreed about one type they both call TableColumn, each internally consistent. Retiring the alias without correcting the page would have turned a documented, working example into a silently broken one, so both halves land together: the page now authors accessorKey/header. The same row also advertised a render property that TableColumn has never declared — the renderer's hook is cell — and that claim is dropped rather than re-spelled.

Read the paragraph, not the line: both false halves of the objectui#8617 claim sat in one paragraph, and correcting either alone would have left it asserting the same wrong thing.

If a claim did go false, correct the body. That is precedented and prose-only, frontmatter untouched; check-changeset-overwrite.mjs will report the correction as its own case 2 ("correcting a declaration on purpose … legitimate"), which is the intended shape — one gate asks for the read, the other records the write.

Not covered, stated so nobody reads this as more: a born-false claim that spells no line address at all (objectui#9495 coordinated one by ORDINAL — "a grep finds that member first" — and deciding that means reading what the sentence means), a claim spelled as a symbol or a package rather than a backticked file name, and a file named ambiguously.

Angle-bracketed names in the quoted prose above are rewritten as ANGLE-BRACKETS(name): GitHub deletes tag-shaped fragments from a stored body, and a quote that silently loses the identifier it is about is worse than a visible repair.

Compared the checked-out tree with 30f912a0d (merge-base with origin/main): 13 file(s) changed outside .changeset/, read against 1727 pending declaration(s) that publish a body (2331 pending in total). · run

…scriptions cite by content (objectui#10993)

objectui AGENTS.md #11: the two descriptions in the object-form block
cited other files by line, and both addresses had rotted. Re-addressed by
content. Reading the cited code for the rewrite showed `ModalForm`
declares `modalCloseButton` and never reads it (measured: `false` still
renders the close button), so the description now says so instead of
"honoured by ModalForm". `contentLayout` names the condition ModalForm
tests.

Brings objectui#10982 (PR 11049), which also edits ObjectView.tsx in
other regions; merged without conflict.

Local-runs: none

① Derived judgments

Inputs: card #10993 (body; triage 5872631146; claim 5882993226; os-dev-reports 5884482102 and 5884902332; amendment 5884511871), PR #11050 (body, 14 files, net diff against main at 30f912a0d), the head's check-runs (filter=latest), and file reads at the head for context (contents/PATH?ref=2c9f3cd22): the five presentation files, ObjectForm.tsx, ObjectView.tsx, objectql.ts, objectql.zod.ts, pickLocalized.ts, CONTRIBUTING.md, schema-reference.md. Scope judged: batch 1 of the family card as claimed in 5882993226 and amended in 5884511871 (three files added, open question answered B).

Check-runs on the head, read at 2026-09-29T06:42Z after waiting in the foreground for the eight test shards, Type Check, Lint and Spec Main Shape Gate to finish: 43 latest runs, 40 success, 3 skipped (the two coverage matrices and dependabot), 0 failure, 0 pending. Among the successes: Type Check, Lint, Build and E2E, Test (all eight shards, the aggregate, dist pins), Spec Main Shape Gate, Bundle Analysis (console eager closure within budget), Doc Snippet Type Check, Line Citation Gate, Governed Surface Queue Guard, Changeset Bump Policy, Changeset Declaration, Changeset Fixed Group Check, Changeset Claim Re-read, Changeset Overwrite Report. These conclusions are the gate verdicts; nothing was run locally.

  1. @object-ui/types, TS face. ObjectFormSchema.title, .description, .submitText, .cancelText, .nextText, .prevText, .successMessage widen from string to I18nLabel (the package's re-export of the spec's union, bound by reference). RIGHT: it is the spec row the card names; writers compile unchanged; a reader that used a member as a string stops compiling, and the changeset says so. Derived with it: ObjectViewSchema.form is a Partial Pick of ObjectFormSchema by ObjectFormSlotKey, which lists all seven, so the object-view form slot's seven widen too. The changeset names the two ObjectView reads itself and covers the rest with "takes ObjectFormSchema's keys". RIGHT.
  2. Zod mirror. title, description, submitText, cancelText, successMessage go from z.string() to stripImportedDefaults(SpecI18nLabelSchema).optional(), the spec schema by reference (an alias the file already imported for the chart title). Accept-set: a locale map now parses on the five; a number is still refused at the member; a map entry that is not a string is refused. nextText and prevText stay unmirrored, so the mirror still does not judge them. RIGHT: mirroring them would refuse values accepted today, a narrowing a widening PR does not make, and the types pin records the choice beside the ledger. Derived: the mirror's ObjectViewSchema.form is ObjectFormSchema.omit(type, objectName, mode).partial(), so object-view's form.title, form.description, form.submitText, form.cancelText, form.successMessage accept a map on the mirror as well; the plugin-view pin's safeValidateSchema row holds it for the two headers. RIGHT.
  3. Registration, plugin-form/src/index.tsx. The seven inputs declare type: ['string', 'object'] in the same change that teaches the render site (the ComponentInput rule, objectui#5590). Through getPublicConfigs(), manifestFromConfigs, validateTree, a map is no longer a type-mismatch and a number still is (console pin). The descriptions' fallback chain (language, base, region-qualified sibling, default, en, any remaining entry) is pickLocalized's actual order. RIGHT. Seven MEMBER_PINS rows follow, each naming a pin file that exists in the diff. RIGHT.
  4. Renderer, ObjectForm.tsx. localizeFormLabels runs inside the dispatcher's schema memo, after foldFormButtons (a buttons.*.label lands on the flat key first) and above the formType fork; language joins the memo's deps. Only the object arm is touched; a string passes as authored; a map with no string entry becomes undefined so each presentation's own default shows; the input is returned untouched when no member is a map. LocalizedObjectFormSchema (homomorphic mapped type, not Omit, which BaseSchema's index signature collapses) types the memo. Load-bearing and verified at the head: DrawerFormSchema, ModalFormSchema, WizardFormSchema, TabbedFormSchema and SplitFormSchema are standalone interfaces that type these members as string, so the spread into each presentation compiles ONLY because resolution happened above the fork. Type Check therefore enforces the design, and leaving the five presentations untouched is right, not an omission. The master-detail route forwards resolved strings, which MasterDetailForm's own pickLocalized passes through. Red on base reproduced through the real SchemaRenderer (26 failed | 37 passed), green at head; every map en-first under a zh UI, so an en or first-entry fallback fails the row. RIGHT.
  5. plugin-view/src/ObjectView.tsx. The two raw header reads (getFormTitle(), and the drawer and modal description) now resolve through pickLocalized against useObjectTranslation().language, the source the card names (as ObjectMetricWidget) and the language ObjectForm resolves the same form's buttons against. buildFormSchema() forwards form.title, form.description, form.submitText, form.cancelText to ObjectForm, which resolves them. The file is outside the claim's surface, forced by the widening (the plugin-view type-check refused the reads), and amended in by 5884511871; the I18nLabel hunks are the only ObjectView hunks in the net diff, so they sit clear of objectui#10982's regions (PR 11049 is in the base). RIGHT.
  6. scripts/check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs. ObjectFormSchema leaves CLAIM_DEBT for @object-ui/types: the mirror now references a spec schema, so the debt entry was stale and check:spec-symbols refused it. Amended in. RIGHT.
  7. zod-mirror-parity.test.ts. objectql.zod.ts#ObjectFormSchema joins SPEC_DERIVED_PAIRS; the pair's UnmirroredDeclared entry (21 keys, none touched) moves from the LOCAL half to the SPEC-DERIVED half by membership; the split reads 3 / 37 and 9 / 47 with the 12 entries / 84 keys total unchanged, and the header sentences follow. RIGHT: no key closed, because the five were already mirrored (as z.string()), and the comment says so.
  8. Docs, schema-reference.md. Four table rows typed string | I18nLabel (the spelling objectql.ts uses for ObjectGridSchema.label), and a paragraph defining I18nLabel. RIGHT as far as it goes; see ③ 13 for the bullet above it.
  9. Patch round, index.tsx. The modalCloseButton and contentLayout descriptions are re-addressed by content. Verified at the head: ModalForm.tsx declares modalCloseButton on its interface and never reads it, and tests schema.contentLayout === 'tabbed' together with more than one group. Both descriptions are true; no behaviour changes. Line Citation Gate: success. RIGHT.
  10. Census. 45 installed rows, 24 with I18nLabel members, 56 members: 7 repaired here, 33 already resolving, 6 raw reads, 9 with no read site, 1 with no renderer, tabulated in the PR body with read sites. Measured and not repaired, as the claim scoped it. RIGHT.

② Semver level

.changeset/10993-object-form-i18nlabel.md: @object-ui/types minor, @object-ui/plugin-form patch, @object-ui/plugin-view patch; Clause-②: yes on the changeset and on the PR body. RIGHT:

  • types minor. Seven public members of an exported interface and five of the published zod mirror widen; a consumer reading them as string stops compiling. CONTRIBUTING scores a breaking change minor, never major, "with the break described in the body", and the body describes it (resolve first, for example with pickLocalized). Changeset Bump Policy: success.
  • plugin-form patch. A render crash on spec-valid metadata is fixed and the registration's inputs are corrected to the spec row; no new surface is added.
  • plugin-view patch. Two raw reads fixed.
  • Clause-②: yes is the true line: safeValidateSchema accepts a locale map on the five mirrored members and the manifest accepts one on the seven inputs, both refused before; nothing accepted before is refused, since nextText and prevText are left unmirrored on purpose.
  • apps/console changes are test-only; Changeset Declaration and Changeset Fixed Group Check: success.

Pending changesets (bot comment 5884456784: 60 declarations naming 8 touched files). All 60 read against the diff for meaning, not name resolution; none is made false. The ones naming the contract files: 7200 (the mirror still declares no sections, true at the head), 7963 (ModalForm and DrawerForm still build cancelLabel from schema.cancelText, untouched), 8738 (SimpleObjectForm's top-level fields drop, untouched), 9511 (recordId a string on both faces, untouched), 7804 (the five on* keys still declared on ObjectFormSchema), 8478 (no NAME.ext:NNN in the new .describe() strings), 8653 / 6726 / 7070 / 7499 / 7779 (ObjectView's grid title composition and non-grid fetch, untouched), 6150 / 8338 / 7779 (the ledger figures are those changes' own deltas; this diff moves one entry between halves and leaves the 12 / 84 total), 9092 (its list of declared faces is that change's own), and the kanban, gantt, gallery, tree and chart rows (5903, 6051, 7322, 7363, 8801, 8885, 8913, 8990, 9309, 9549, 9606, 9628), none touched.

③ Boundary flags

Dev flags, report 5884482102:

  1. ObjectView.tsx, check-spec-symbol-derivation.mjs, schema-reference.md outside the claim: answered by amendment 5884511871, judged in ① 5, 6, 8.
  2. PR title and changeset add plugin-view: follows 1; answered.
  3. The dispatch's ".changeset/README.md rule for a new accepted shape" not found: the level is judged in ② from CONTRIBUTING and the Changeset Bump Policy gate; answered.
  4. objectui#10999 landed before this batch although the claim had it serial behind: the dev merged it, dropped the wizard nothing-authored control, and gave every wizard map a zh entry that differs from the pack default; answered and pinned in the test header. objectui#11000 is in the base too; WizardForm.tsx is untouched, so no serial conflict remains.
  5. Main merged four times by merge commit (including 30f912a in the patch round); the one comment-line conflict in the memo reads as one coherent block in the net diff; answered.
  6. Render pin mounts inside async act because of a pre-existing harness race (reproduced on base): recorded; not a contract matter.
  7. No labels written: answered. Observation for the seat: needs:contract-review, which the claim said goes on the PR when it opens, is not among the PR's labels; this record is the review regardless.
Open question (AGENTS.md [WIP] Update documentation for project #11 against the role file's scope): answered B by the seat in 5884511871; done at the head (report 5884902332), verified in ① 9.
    Out-of-scope findings and their carriers:
  8. Census raw reads object-grid.title, record:path stages[].label, and element:text/button/image/number aria.ariaLabel (where ariaAttrs also writes aria-arialabel for a plain string): family members; ESCALATED to the seat to batch or file under the card.
  9. Registry half: object-metric label / title / description, object-grid.label, record:related_list.title inputs declare 'string' only while their renderers resolve a map (type-mismatch on a legal map): ESCALATED to the seat to fold into the card.
  10. safeValidateSchema refuses the spec-valid { type: 'object-form', properties: { objectName } } document because the arm is the flat mirror: class b, no carrier named in the report; ESCALATED to the seat to file.
  11. modalCloseButton declared and never read by ModalForm (patch-round finding, class b, public door): ESCALATED to the seat to file; the registration description states the truth meanwhile.
  12. Noted, not filed: DrawerForm and ModalForm never read successMessage; nextText and prevText unmirrored (ledgered, pinned); the harness race (handled in the pin). Accepted as recorded.
    Reviewer's flag:
  13. schema-reference.md, "Spec alignment and extension keys": the bullet "ObjectUI extensions, serializable extras with no spec backing yet" still lists submitText, cancelText, nextText / prevText and successMessage, five of the seven members the card's premise and the PR's own premise check read off the spec's ComponentPropsMap['object-form'] row. It was stale before this PR and is untouched by it, and it now sits two lines above the paragraph that calls their type the spec's union. Not this diff's falsehood and not a FAIL; ESCALATED to the seat as the docs face of this card, one bullet edit for the next batch that touches the section.
