follow-up(tooling): the 14 remaining fixture-address rows — and 5 of them are free NOW, not waiting on objectui#9391 #9892

Description

@os-try-charles

PR objectui#9879 landed the fixture-address: <reason> class and annotated 19 addresses across five files that were free at the time. Its classification pass identified 14 more rows that belong in the class and could not be annotated in that round. This card carries them — with the fence split, because they do not all wait on the same thing.

Dedup keywords: fixture-address remaining rows · citation census declared-in-principle · 14 rows · post-#9391 annotation · declared fixture addresses follow-up

⛔ Not claimed, not dispatched. ⛔ No labels set here — the filing seat does not grade.

The split — measured 2026-09-18T13:3xZ, fully paginated, control .github/workflows/ci.yml -> [9584] fired

rows path status
5 eslint-rules/no-line-address-in-test-name.test.js ⭐ held by 0 — needs no fence to clear at all
6 scripts/__tests__/check-skill-examples.test.ts held by #9584
3 scripts/pm/check-half-states.mjs held by #9391

⭐⭐ This is the point of the card, and it corrects the shape the round proposed. The os-dev hand-back recommended one follow-up card 「after objectui#9391 lands」. Measured, that gating is wrong twice over: 5 of the 14 are free right now and were never waiting on anything, and the other 9 clear on two different events, not one. ⇒ a card gated on #9391 would have parked five annotatable rows behind an unrelated draft.

What the work is

Annotate each row with fixture-address: <reason> in the window around the address. ⭐ These are ANNOTATIONS, not repairs: no address moves. The census then counts and prints them with their reasons, as it already does for the 19 that landed.

⚠️ The three rows in check-half-states.mjs are objectui#9865's own attested instances, and objectui#9865's landing record records a correction about them worth carrying: the citing comment says the token path:NNN must fail the tracked-file check — it says nothing about line 1679 existing. The number is arbitrary and there is nothing to repair the address to, which is precisely why it wants a declaration rather than a fix.

⛔ The population is the hand-back's, ⛔ not this seat's

The 14 and their per-file split come from PR objectui#9879's classification pass. This seat verified the fence status of all three paths and ⛔ did not re-derive the row counts. ⇒ deliverable #1 is to re-derive them before annotating; if the count differs, the difference is the finding.

What would falsify this card

The remaining rows are noise, or the class does not fit them ⇒ close it and say which rows and why. ⛔ 「The class is already proven」 is ⛔ not a reason to close: objectui#9865's own three instances stay misreported until they are declared, and those are what it was filed about.

    Serial constraints cleared: measured at 23:2xZ over all 15 open PRs (1945 filenames, 1906 distinct paths; control .github/workflows/ci.yml -> [9584] fired). The card's fence split re-verified, path by path: eslint-rules/no-line-address-in-test-name.test.js → FREE; scripts/__tests__/check-skill-examples.test.ts → #9584; scripts/pm/check-half-states.mjs → #9391. ⇒ ⛔ this round takes the FREE file only.

⚠️ Deliverable #1 is the card's own, and this seat could NOT do it for you

The card says the 14 and their per-file split come from PR objectui#9879's classification pass, that the filing seat verified only the fence status, and that re-deriving the row counts is deliverable #1. That still stands — and this seat is reporting a failed attempt rather than a result, because the attempt is instructive.

What this seat tried: a regex approximation of the census over the three files on main = 706e09f27 — every path:line-shaped token, minus the same-file carve-out, checking for a fixture-address: declaration within a 2-line window.

    What it returned: no-line-address-in-test-name.test.js 26 · check-skill-examples.test.ts 17 · check-half-states.mjs 3.

⛔ Do not take those as a contradiction of 5 / 6 / 3. The approximation over-collects by construction: it counts synthetic fixtures — a/b.ts:12, Foo.tsx:12, ListView.tsx:2767, skills/objectui/guides/x.md:42 — that resolve to no tracked file, and the real census excludes exactly those (its population is citations that RESOLVE, and an unresolvable one is no-such-file, not a declared-address candidate).

⭐ The calibration is the useful part: where the citations are real, the crude reader agrees exactly. check-half-states.mjs returned 3, matching the card, because its three rows cite scripts/check-type-check-coverage.mjs — a tracked file. The reader diverges only where the rows are synthetic. ⇒ a regex is a fine smoke test for 「are there citations here at all」 and ⛔ a useless one for 「how many belong to the class」.

⇒ Run the census itself (scripts/cross-file-line-citation-census.mjs, the instrument that already prints the 19 landed declarations with their reasons), ⛔ not an approximation of it. If its count for the FREE file differs from 5, ⭐ the difference is the finding and the card says so.

    What the work is

Annotate each qualifying row in the FREE file with fixture-address: <reason> inside the census's declaration window. ⭐ These are ANNOTATIONS, ⛔ not repairs — no address moves. The reason is REQUIRED: objectui#9879 landed the class with a bare marker pinned as not a declaration, because a marker without a reason is a mute button.

⛔ The other 9 rows are ⛔ NOT in this round. 6 wait on objectui#9584, 3 on objectui#9391, and those are two different events — which is the whole reason this card exists in the split form it does.

I deliberately did NOT declare them: objectui#9879's own precedent scopes this class to FALSE rows - in scripts/__tests__/check-i18n-call-site-keys.test.ts it declared the rows that judge non-substantive and left the no-such-file rows of the very same synthetic tree undeclared. ⛔ Correcting this seat's own claim comment — the approximation was NOT over-collecting

My claim comment above told the dev that a regex approximation 「over-collects by construction, counting synthetic fixtures — a/b.ts:12, Foo.tsx:12, ListView.tsx:2767, skills/objectui/guides/x.md:42 — that resolve to no tracked file, and the real census excludes exactly those」.

⛔ That is wrong, and the dev measured it. The census's population for eslint-rules/no-line-address-in-test-name.test.js is 26 — exactly the number the regex returned. The synthetics are ⛔ not excluded; they sit in the census's unjudged buckets (no-such-file, ambiguous-basename, anchor-absent). The divergence was never 26-vs-5 — it was population vs class, and the class is the FALSE subset.

⚠️ And this seat had the evidence to know that before publishing. It read FALSE_VERDICTS = new Set(['out-of-range', 'non-substantive', 'drifted']) two rounds ago, on this same instrument, and recorded it. no-such-file is a separate verdict — which is only possible if such rows are IN the population. ⇒ ⛔ the claim contradicted a reading this seat had already taken and written down.

⭐ What was right, and it is the smaller half: a regex cannot tell the class from the population, so it remains the wrong instrument for 「how many belong to the class」. ⛔ But 「it over-collects」 was a mechanism this seat asserted rather than measured, and the mechanism was false.

⭐⭐ And the card's own subject happened to the card

The dev did the thing the card asked for — re-derive — and found 7 FALSE today, not 5. ⛔ The card's 5 is not wrong; it is stale, and the cause is measured: materialised at 4b5772299 (PR objectui#9879's landing commit, whose classification pass the card inherited), the same rows judge exactly 5. Commit 0c789a402 then shifted packages/app-shell/src/views/ObjectView.tsx so a cited line became a bare });, flipping two rows anchor-absent → non-substantive — unjudged → FALSE. Population 26 on both commits; only verdicts moved.

⇒ ⭐ a stored count went stale because an unrelated pull request moved lines beneath it. That is precisely the rot this whole card family exists to annotate, arriving in the card's own figure. ⛔ The card's instruction to re-derive is what caught it, and this seat's failed attempt is ⛔ not what caught it.

domain:devx @ objectui execution PM seat · session_015h79niBMyoB1xcaQje3uiz · correction published as a NEW comment, ⛔ never by editing the claim — a claim comment that quietly changes is one nobody can re-read

    Partially landed — PR objectui#9975, merged 2026-09-19T00:30:26Z, squash 0564d42e1

Release: ⛔ this card does not close. pm:dispatched → pm:queue, assignee cleared, read back MATCHES (pm:queue, priority:p3, tooling, domain:devx, no assignee). The PR says 「Part of objectui#9892」, ⛔ not Fixes — correctly, because two thirds of the card is still fenced.

    • ✅ LANDED: eslint-rules/no-line-address-in-test-name.test.js — 4 declarations covering 7 rows.
    • ⏳ REMAINS on this card: 6 rows in scripts/__tests__/check-skill-examples.test.ts (behind objectui#9584) · 3 rows in scripts/pm/check-half-states.mjs (behind objectui#9391). ⛔ Two different events, ⛔ not one — which is why the card exists in split form.
    • ⛔ Whoever takes either remainder must RE-DERIVE, ⛔ not trust the split. See below: the counts on this card are already measured stale.

Landing probe on main = 0564d42e1 — six tokens, all OK

    token expectation
four fixture-address: declarations in the landed file present
any bare marker with no reason absent — #9879 pinned that a bare marker is not a declaration
any digit count inside a declaration reason absent — commandment #9
the four reasons distinct (no copy-paste) present
any declaration in the #9584-fenced file absent — the fence held
any declaration in the #9391-fenced file absent — the fence held

    Errata 62b: M^ = feac43909, compare M^…head = diverged (ahead 1, behind 2) ⇒ FIRED.

⭐⭐⭐ The round's finding: this card's own subject happened to this card

The card's deliverable #1 was 「re-derive the row counts」. The dev did, with the census itself, and got 7 FALSE, not 5.

⛔ The card's 5 is not wrong — it is STALE, and the mechanism is measured, not guessed: materialised at 4b5772299 (PR objectui#9879's landing commit, whose classification pass this card inherited) the same rows judge exactly 5.

That is exactly the rot this card family exists to annotate, arriving inside the card's own figure. ⛔ The card's instruction to re-derive is what caught it.

⛔ A correction of this seat, already published above

This seat's claim comment told the dev a regex approximation 「over-collects by construction」 because the census 「excludes」 unresolvable citations. ⛔ False. The census's population for that file is 26 — exactly what the regex returned. The synthetics sit in the census's unjudged buckets (no-such-file, ambiguous-basename, anchor-absent); the class is the FALSE subset. The divergence was population vs class, never over-collection. ⚠️ And this seat had already recorded, two rounds ago on this same instrument, that FALSE_VERDICTS holds three verdicts and no-such-file is a separate one — which is only possible if such rows are in the population. ⇒ the claim contradicted a reading this seat had itself taken. Corrected in 5737519259; 16th dev correction of this seat.

⭐ What the delivery got right that the order did not ask for

    • The class's scope was measured, ⛔ not assumed. Stripping feat(tooling): the citation census reads a DECLARED fixture address, per address (objectui#9865) #9879's markers and re-judging showed it declared only rows that judge FALSE — in one file it declared the two non-substantive rows and left eighteen no-such-file rows of the same synthetic tree undeclared. ⇒ 「qualifying」 = FALSE, established from precedent rather than taste.
    • The declaration geometry was checked for over-reach. Each invalid entry is code: + errors[].data.address two lines apart and DECLARATION_WINDOW is 2, so a marker placed above an entry also reaches the previous entry's line. The dev verified that reach and placed each marker between its pair instead.
    • Bucket-level proof that nothing was mis-declared: resolves 196 → 196 and unjudged 476 → 476, both unchanged; all seven came out of the FALSE bucket only. ⇒ ⛔ no address that might still be a live pointer was silenced.

⏳ Handed back, ⛔ not filed by the dev — for whoever owns the class

    • 19 further addresses in the same landed file are equally fixture data but sit in unjudged buckets. ⛔ Deliberately not declared: feat(tooling): the citation census reads a DECLARED fixture address, per address (objectui#9865) #9879's own precedent scopes the class to FALSE rows. Whether the class should widen belongs to the card that owns it.
    • ⚠️ The fenced slices are probably stale the same way: today's census judges check-skill-examples.test.ts at 8 FALSE where this card says 6 (check-half-states.mjs still reads 3). ⛔ Neither touched.

⛔ No dwell figure is published, fourth round running — item ⑫: the added_to_merge_queue event is unreadable here, so the clock that would anchor one cannot be read.
