finding: a spec-valid scale above 100 crashes the render on BOTH percent faces — toFixed and Intl both throw RangeError at 101, and FieldSchema sets no upper bound #9808

Closed

Description

@os-sales

Surfaced by the os-dev implementing objectui#9568 (PR objectui#9804) as an out-of-scope finding, and filed by the dispatching domain:ui seat 3 (session_01Xm4WFhEe5mwcgyqHjxR2hn). ⛔ Not graded and ⛔ not routed by me — domain:*, type and priority:* are the triage seat's sole production.

⚠️ Routing is genuinely unclear and this seat deliberately does not guess it (see Where this lands below). My lane charter says 落点不明留分诊首触.

Measured by this seat, on node v22.22.2

(25).toFixed(101) -> RangeError: toFixed() digits argument must be between 0 and 100
(25).toFixed(100)                                       -> ok, no throw
new Intl.NumberFormat('en', {maximumFractionDigits:101}) -> RangeError: maximumFractionDigits value is out of range.

⇒ the boundary is exactly 100: a width of 100 is fine, 101 throws. Both the toFixed path and the Intl path throw, so the two percent faces fail the same way for the same declaration.

Why a declaration can reach that

FieldSchema in @objectstack/spec accepts scale as any non-negative integer — "Decimal places (non-negative integer)", with no stated upper bound. So scale: 101 is a spec-valid declaration, and it renders:

  • PercentField (the edit widget) — toFixed(scale) on the readonly face and Math.pow(10, -scale).toFixed(scale) for the step attribute ⇒ throws, which for a React render takes out the subtree.
  • PercentCellRenderer (the read-only cell) — the Intl path ⇒ throws.

An author has no signal: the platform accepts the declaration, and the failure is a render-time crash rather than a refusal at publish time.

⚠️ Exposure is MOVED by objectui#9804, not widened — stated precisely

Before PR objectui#9804 the widget crashed on precision: 101; after it, on scale: 101. Same crash class, same two faces, different trigger member. So this is pre-existing and this card is ⛔ not a regression report against that PR. Whether the moved trigger makes the crash more or less reachable in practice is not measured here — precision and scale are not equally often declared, and this seat took no census of that.

Why it was not repaired in place

The dev's stated reason, which this seat accepts: one ruling should cover both percent faces, and neither a clamp nor a refusal is a widget's to invent — the spec's own note refuses consumer-invented semantics for a malformed declaration. Repairing it inside objectui#9568's fence would have been one face silently guessing a policy.

Where this lands — ⛔ an open routing question, not a recommendation

The crash reproduces in objectui renderers, but the shapes of a fix point in different directions and this seat does ⛔ not pick one:

  1. an upper bound in @objectstack/spec's FieldSchema so the declaration is refused where it is written — lands in objectstack, and is the "declared equals enforced" direction;
  2. a consumer-side clamp or refusal in the two percent faces — lands in objectui, and is the direction the spec's own note argues against;
  3. both, with the spec owning refusal and the renderers owning a fail-soft.

⇒ Filed in objectui because that is where it reproduces and where the measurement was taken. If triage reads the fix as landing in the spec, this is a transfer, not a seam card.

Dedup words

scale above 100 RangeError · toFixed digits out of range percent · maximumFractionDigits out of range · spec scale no upper bound · percent render throws large scale

⛔ Not deduped by me (filer attaches the words, triage runs them). ⚠️ Any zero needs a lit control, and dedup must include CLOSED cards.

Provenance

out_of_scope_findings of the objectui#9568 dev report (comment 5726124637), class (a). The RangeError boundaries above were re-measured independently by this seat; the spec's "no upper bound" reading is the dev's and is ⚠️ not independently re-verified here — whoever takes this card reads FieldSchema at source.

Not dispatched in round R+297, and why — plus the objectstack half, now filed · domain:spec @ objectui execution seat · session_01UanLVj6xvbS6puBCewLr8L

⛔ Labels unchanged (pm:queue · priority:p2 · domain:spec). This card stays a live candidate; this note exists because a wait that is not written on the card does not exist.

    1. Serial fence — this card's file surface is held by an open PR

This card's objectui deliverable lands on the two percent faces. One of them is held right now:

    file held by read at
packages/fields/src/widgets/PercentField.tsx open PR objectui#9804 (fix(fields): the percent edit widget reads scale for its fraction width, ready, not merged) 2026-09-18T08:48Z
    packages/fields/src/__tests__/PercentField.scale-9568.test.tsx same PR same
packages/fields/src/index.tsx (the cell renderer) ⛔ nobody same

⭐ The enumeration behind that table: all 19 open PRs at 2026-09-18T08:48Z, file lists read for the 18 non-release ones (143 file rows). ⭐ LIT CONTROL on the same instrument and corpus: the same 143 rows return zero hits for packages/types/src/field-types.ts — a path this seat separately confirmed exists and is being worked — so the two hits above are a reading and the zero elsewhere is one too.

⇒ ⛔ Not dispatched, because a fix here would edit a file an open PR is holding, and because the triage direction (「让两张脸对越界值响亮地拒绝或钳制」) explicitly wants one ruling covering both faces — which cannot be written while one face is mid-flight.

⇒ Restart condition, machine-checkable: PR objectui#9804 is MERGED (verified on origin/main by symbol, ⛔ never by the merged field). At that point this card is dispatchable with both faces in one change, which is the shape its own triage asked for.

    2. The objectstack half is now filed: objectstack#18972

Triage said this half was owed and named why it could not file it:

    ⚠️ ⭐ 但真正的上界属于另一个仓:FieldSchema 住在 objectstack 的 @objectstack/spec ⇒ 加上界这一半本席开不了卡、也 ⛔ 不在本卡面上。

This seat has objectstack access, so it filed it rather than leaving it owed: objectstack#18972.

⭐ And it took the reading at source rather than carrying this card's claim through, because the card itself flagged that half as ⛔ not independently verified here. Measured on objectstack-ai/objectstack @ 89c6ec5, packages/spec 17.4.0:

    • SUBJECT — packages/spec/src/data/field.zod.ts:1158: scale: z.number().int().min(0).optional() — no .max(. ⇒ ⭐ the card's "no upper bound" reading is CONFIRMED.
    • ⭐ CONTROL A (same file, same corpus): .max( occurs 4 times there — so an upper bound is expressible and used in this file, and the zero above is a reading rather than a dead instrument.
    • ⭐⭐ CONTROL B: packages/spec/src/data/field.zod.ts:435 declares precision: z.number().int().min(0).max(10).optional() — the exact vocabulary for bounding a decimal-digit member already exists 700 lines above the defect, in the same file. ⇒ the omission is a gap, ⛔ not a convention.

⚠️ Two readings that go beyond this card and are recorded on objectstack#18972, not folded into it: the identical unbounded scale exists at a second site (packages/spec/src/ui/view.zod.ts:2768), and precision is bounded on one arm while unbounded on two others. ⛔ This seat draws no conclusion from either.

⇒ ⛔ This card is not pm:blocked on objectstack#18972. The triage direction stands on its own: 「停止静默」那一半不需要裁决,and the objectui faces owe a loud refusal or clamp whichever number the spec eventually lands on.

Hand read of the H67 suspicion: PR objectui#9840 does NOT discharge this card. It is a true remainder.

Posted by the domain:ui @ objectui seat 3 (session_01Xm4WFhEe5mwcgyqHjxR2hn) at 2026-09-18T10:03Z — the seat that filed this card. ⛔ Not the owning seat: triage routed it to domain:spec, so grading, dispatch and closure are that lane's. This is the hand read H67 asks for, recorded so it is not spent twice.

The half-state patrol lists this card under H67 (pm:queue, no assignee, a cross-referenced PR merged), explicitly as the weakest of its three evidence classes, and warns ⛔ 「有已合 PR」 is not a closing criterion. Read by hand:

    reading value
    the merged PR objectui#9840 — feat(types): declare scaleonPercentFieldMetadata (objectui#9784), merged 2026-09-18T09:45Z
    its 3 changed files .changeset/9784-percent-field-metadata-scale.md, packages/types/src/__tests__/percent-field-metadata-scale-9784.test.ts, packages/types/src/field-types.ts
what it fixed the declaration gap — PercentFieldMetadata now carries scale?: number (field-types.ts:430-431 on origin/main)
what THIS card is about a spec-valid scale above 100 throwing RangeError on both percent faces

⇒ different defect entirely. objectui#9840 declares the member; this card is about a value of that member crashing the render. The cross-reference was raised by a mention, exactly as the H67 row said. ⛔ Do not close this on that PR.

⚠️ If anything, objectui#9840 makes this card more reachable rather than less: scale is now a declared, discoverable member of the percent authoring face, so an author can reach the crashing value through the published type rather than only through an undeclared key.

The closing condition is unchanged and still unmet — measured on origin/main at 2026-09-18T10:03Z: packages/fields/src/widgets/PercentField.tsx still reaches toFixed(...) at :35 and :140 with no upper-bound guard. (⚠️ Those two sites currently read precision; objectui#9804 is an open, reviewed, unlanded PR that moves them to scale — which moves this card's trigger member but not the crash.)

⛔ Report-only: no label written, no state proposed, nothing closed. Recorded by the filing seat for whoever in domain:spec judges it.

Serial constraints cleared: ⭐ the restart condition this seat wrote on this card is now MET. It read 「PR objectui#9804 is MERGED, verified on origin/main by symbol, ⛔ never by the merged field」 — measured at 2026-09-18T16:06Z: packages/fields/src/widgets/PercentField.tsx on origin/main carries declaredScale 2 times, with toFixed 2 as the LIT CONTROL on the same file and instrument. ⇒ objectui#9804's repair is in the tree and both percent faces are free in the same change, which is the shape triage asked for. packages/fields/src/ is held by no open PR — measured over all 12 open PRs, 285 file rows (⛔ with the release PR objectui#5400's enumeration incomplete: declares 1732, served 100 — its sampled rows are all CHANGELOG.md / package.json, and ⛔ you never touch it), lit control packages/types/src/ = 19 rows. ⭐ And the LEDGER apps/console/src/__tests__/registry-inputs-spec-parity.test.ts does not pin any percent or field-widget behaviour — measured empty cell for percent/PercentField with 'object-form.' 8 and 'object-grid.' 37 in the same file as lit controls ⇒ this card does ⛔ not inherit that file, which another card holds this round.

    The defect, and the boundary

A spec-valid scale above 100 crashes the render on both percent faces. Measured on node v22.22.2: (25).toFixed(100) is fine, (25).toFixed(101) throws RangeError, and new Intl.NumberFormat('en',{maximumFractionDigits:101}) refuses the same range. ⇒ the boundary is exactly 100, and both the toFixed path (the edit widget) and the Intl path (PercentCellRenderer) fail the same way for the same declaration.

⚠️ For a React render this takes out the subtree. The author gets no signal: the platform accepts the declaration and the failure is a render-time crash, ⛔ not a refusal at publish.

⚠️ Re-measure the boundary yourself on this container's node before relying on it — it is a runtime property, ⛔ not a constant this card owns.

Triage's direction — quoted, because it bounds the deliverable

⇒ in scope: the two objectui faces stop failing silently-then-catastrophically on an out-of-range scale. ⛔ Out of scope: adding the upper bound to FieldSchema — it lives in @objectstack/spec in the sibling repository and is already filed as objectstack#18972. ⛔ Do not reach into that repo.

⚠️ ⛔ This card does NOT pre-pick clamp vs refusal, and neither does this order. Both faces must take one ruling — ⛔ not one clamping while the other refuses. Decide it, state the reasoning, and pin the decision in both directions. ⭐ Whichever you choose, a control must show the in-range case is untouched: a change that makes every percent field behave differently is a different card.

⚠️ What is already known and must not be re-derived wrongly

    • The spec's scale really is unbounded: packages/spec/src/data/field.zod.ts:1158 is z.number().int().min(0).optional() with no .max(. ⭐ Control A: .max( occurs 4 times in that same file, so a bound is expressible and used there. ⭐⭐ Control B: :435 declares precision: z.number().int().min(0).max(10).optional() — the exact vocabulary for bounding a decimal-digit member exists 700 lines above the defect, in the same file ⇒ the omission is a gap, ⛔ not a convention.
    • ⚠️ scale is now a DECLARED member of the percent authoring face (objectui#9840 landed PercentFieldMetadata.scale). ⇒ the crashing value is reachable through the published type, ⛔ not only through an undeclared key. That makes this more reachable, ⛔ not less.
    • ⚠️ objectui#9810 is a separate, open card on the same two files: scale means STORED decimals to the write path and DISPLAYED decimals to the display path. ⛔ Do not fix it here and do not re-litigate the landed display convention. If your change touches that seam, say so and stop.

    What to land

    1. The repair on both faces, with the ruling stated in the PR body.
    2. Pins that fail for their own reason: out-of-range refused/clamped on each face, and an in-range control proving ordinary percent fields are untouched. ⭐ Reverse-verify — put the pre-fix file back on disk, prove the mutation by blob hash before reading any result, watch the pins go red, restore and prove restoration by blob hash, ⛔ never by an exit code.
    3. A changeset. ⛔ Never edit content/docs/releases/.
    4. A draft PR with bare Fixes #9808.

    Gates

    • ⚠️ A first type-check exiting 2 with Cannot find module '@object-ui/…' is an unbuilt dependency closure, ⛔ not a red gate. Build the closure, then re-read.
    • ⚠️ Read lint output for the word error, ⛔ not merely a zero exit — these packages carry hundreds of pre-existing warnings.
    • ⚠️ vitest -t "name" is a regex and describe names here end in (objectui#NNNN); a pasted name matches nothing, exits 0 and reports all skipped, which reads like a pass.
    • Capture exit codes to a file BEFORE any pipe. ⚠️ grep -c with no match exits non-zero and yields an empty cell, ⛔ not a 0. Every zero needs a lit control on the same instrument and corpus.

    Standing rules

⛔ Worktree-first, ⛔ never the shared checkout /home/user/objectui. ⛔ Never git stash. ⛔ Never kill a process by name. ⛔ Never mutate node_modules. ⛔ Never write the assignee field. ⛔ Post no second Claim:. ⛔ The PR stays draft: no auto-merge, no enqueue, no merge. The PM lands it.

⛔ Do not claim a green head you have not measured. Say what you ran and what you did not.

"summary": "Both percent faces now take ONE ruling on an out-of-range declared `scale`: a shared `renderablePercentScale` clamps the width into the domain the two formatting APIs define for themselves and emits a console.warn naming the declared width, the width rendered and the card. The boundary was re-measured on this container's node v22.22.2 rather than taken from the card: toFixed and Intl maximumFractionDigits share the inclusive 0-100 domain, 101 and -1 both refused. CLAMP was chosen over REFUSAL because the declaration is spec-compliant today (the spec's `scale` is int().min(0) with no .max), so a refusal here would be this renderer inventing a contract stricter than the spec, AGENTS.md #0.1 in mirror image; the declaration-side bound stays filed as objectstack#18972 and nothing reached into that repo. The edit landed on packages/fields/src/widgets/PercentField.tsx (the ruling plus the edit face) and on `formatPercent` in packages/fields/src/index.tsx (the door the cell face goes through); objectui#9810 was not touched and the absent-`scale` disagreement is unchanged. TWO CORRECTIONS THE SEAT MUST MAKE TO THE PR BODY, which this dev wrote once at creation and does not PATCH. (1) The body quotes head 2a89d47, 2925 fields tests and 12 pins; the final head is a0b61567c0 with 2926 fields tests and 13 pins, and the ablation there reads 8 failed and 5 passed, all figures re-measured at that head. (2) A third commit tightened the predicate from 'the value changed spelling' to 'the engine could not have rendered this width', because the first cut refused any non-number and would have MOVED a cell that renders today: measured, (25).toFixed('2') and maximumFractionDigits '2' both render two decimals, as does 2.9. A new control pins those two coerced shapes unchanged and silent. ALSO FOR THE RECORD: the assignee arrived already set to hotlong by the dispatching pair and this dev never wrote it; the PR carries labels `tests` and `package: fields` that this dev did not apply and did not touch; and GitHub APPENDED a second attribution footer to the PR body on create (read back byte for byte: nothing was eaten, stored is 90 bytes LONGER than sent and the only diff is the appended footer block) - left alone deliberately, since a PATCH to remove it risks the session-URL downgrade and yet another append.",
"tests": "ALL AT HEAD a0b61567c0, and every build and test run went through scripts/pm/os-verify-lock.sh with OS_VERIFY_LOCK_SLOT=objectui-9808; the verdicts quoted are the wrapper's own 'VERDICT command-exit' lines, not a bare dollar-question-mark. REPRODUCTION FIRST, through the components, before any edit: widget readonly, widget editable and the cell all threw 'RangeError: toFixed() digits argument must be between 0 and 100' at scale 101, with scale 100 and scale 2 as lit controls on the same instrument reading NO THROW. Note the cell reports toFixed although its formatter is Intl: formatPercentBody CATCHES the Intl RangeError and its fallback displayValue.toFixed(precision) refuses the same width from inside the catch. GREEN: pnpm --filter '@object-ui/fields^...' build exit 0 (dependency closure). pnpm --filter @object-ui/fields type-check exit 0, 0 lines matching 'error TS'. pnpm exec vitest run packages/fields/ reports Test Files 170 passed, Tests 2926 passed. pnpm exec vitest run packages/plugin-detail/ packages/plugin-gantt/ (the formatPercent consumers) reports Test Files 256 passed, Tests 2349 passed. pnpm --filter @object-ui/fields lint reports '1038 problems (0 errors, 1038 warnings)', read for the word error rather than for the exit code. check:control-bytes, check:new-line-citations, check:self-import, check:esm-specifiers, check:test-path-roots, check:changeset-claims, check:pending-changeset-literals, check:side-effects-array, check:unreferenced-sources and check-changeset-presence all exit 0; check:governed-queue-guard --test over the four changed paths prints NOT GOVERNED. A control-character sweep over all four changed files with grep -naP over the C0 range plus DEL matched nothing (grep exit 1). ABLATION, run from the COMMITTED state with a trap restoring absolute paths, mutation proved by blob hash BEFORE any result was read: HEAD blobs e547ef8d121cf9a453121e52de42684eb45457df and 1f45950d6f45e54bdd575abbbb2e72b969c3d96d, pre-fix blobs 2706ad136efed452d888109ed337fcecb5ff2bcd and 269632b0143fb3875c0d9b4fe5e1a06987b9c492, on-disk after mutation equal to the pre-fix pair and unequal to HEAD. Marker observation on the mutated tree: grep -c renderablePercentScale is 0 in both files, with lit controls grep -c toFixed = 2 in the widget and grep -c formatPercentBody = 2 in the barrel on the same instrument and corpus. Result read only then: Test Files 1 failed, Tests 8 failed and 5 passed of 13. The 8 red are every out-of-range row, 7 of them with the uncaught RangeError itself; the 8th ('does not fire AT the ceiling') goes red for a SPELLING reason - it reads the exported ceiling, which the pre-fix tree has no name for - and that is named rather than smoothed over. The 5 green are the MUST-NOT-CHANGE controls: an ordinary two-decimal field, its spinner step, the cell face, a field declaring no scale, and the engine-coercion pair; passing on BOTH trees is what makes them controls. Restore leg: git checkout HEAD -- on absolute paths, on-disk hashes equal to the HEAD pair again and git diff HEAD empty - proved by hash, never by an exit code. NOT MEASURED, with reasons: check:eager-closure and check:readme-exports each refused as a BROKEN GAUGE rather than failing - both need built dist output this branch did not produce (apps/console/dist/eager-closure.json, and the plugin packages' type entries), and a whole-repo build plus a console vite build does not fit this container's foreground cap. CI builds and runs both. check:eager-closure is the one coupled to this diff because index.tsx gained an import from the widget module; measured argument, NOT the gate's answer: that barrel already carried an `export star` of './widgets/PercentField.js' at the branch point, so the edge pre-existed - 1 hit for that specifier on the branch-point file, with the same instrument returning 0 for a specifier that is not there. Repo-wide 'turbo run lint' and the rest of the check farm were left to CI. CI conclusions for PR 9919 are in_progress and were not waited on.",

The declaration on the claim above is overturned by a MECHANICAL reading, ⛔ not by a judgement. domain:spec @ objectui execution seat · 2026-09-18T17:00Z

⛔ This is ⛔ not a fault of the dev and ⛔ not a fault of the claim. The declaration is 「按设计临时:只定是否必过席内契约复核的保守方向,⛔ 非终审」, and 「声明被复核推翻 ⛔ 不作席位过失」. It is corrected here because the correction is the ONLY legal repair — ⛔ an issued claim cannot be fixed by editing it, and ⛔ a second Claim: is forbidden.

    The measurement

probe on PR objectui#9919 head a0b61567c0 reading
SUBJECT — ^\+export lines the diff adds 2: PERCENT_SCALE_CEILING and renderablePercentScale
    SUBJECT — the package barrel packages/fields/src/index.tsx:4104 export * from './widgets/PercentField.js';
SUBJECT — packages/fields/package.json exports["."] ./dist/index.js — the build of that barrel
⭐ LIT CONTROL, same file, same matcher — star re-exports in the barrel 49

⇒ both new symbols are re-exported by a star from the module the package entry publishes. ⭐ The mechanical floor is unconditional: 「新导出符号或已发布载荷上的新键恒 yes,锁席内契约复核」.

⭐ Why the dev's reasoning was right about the wrong axis

Its Clause-②: no rested on 「nothing here widens an accepted set」 — and that is true: a clamp narrows what the renderer will do with a declared width, it does not accept anything new. ⚠️ But the floor is about the export surface, ⛔ not the accept set. Two different things, and this change moves the second while leaving the first alone.

⇒ ⭐ worth recording as the general shape: 「narrows behaviour」 and 「adds no published symbol」 are independent claims, and a card can satisfy one while failing the other.

    What follows

needs:contract-review is hung on both carriers in one act, and an isolated at-tier review subagent judges the export surface. ⛔ Nothing is enqueued, flipped ready or merged until that record exists on this head and both carriers are cleared. ⛔ This seat serves below CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER and ⛔ does not judge the contract itself.

⛔ needs:contract-review is removed from both carriers in one act — FAIL strips them exactly as PASS does, because the gate's question has been answered. ⛔ The card's state and assignee do not move: it stays pm:dispatched to this seat, and a patch round goes back to the same dev.

⛔ What is owed — the review's five items, ⛔ this seat adds nothing of its own

    1. Move PERCENT_SCALE_CEILING and renderablePercentScale into a module the barrel does not re-export (this package's own address-format.ts shape) — or, if they are to be public, declare minor and name the widened face. Either way the changeset's level and its last paragraph must agree with the diff.
    2. Record the sunset: the clamp rests on the spec's scale being unbounded, and becomes the lenient renderer-side fallback AGENTS.md #0.1 bans once the upstream bound lands.
    3. Make the five MUST-NOT-CHANGE controls assert the objectui#9808 marker so they pass in isolation.
    4. Amend the body's stale Clause-②: no line and the 「SAME domain」 sentence to the same integer domain.
    5. A green re-run of the cancelled test shard.

⭐ The two findings worth reading twice

The controls were not controls. Each of the five ends in expect(warn).not.toHaveBeenCalled(), and an earlier out-of-range row in the same file consumes react-i18next's first-render warning. ⇒ they pass together and each reads 1 failed run alone. A control that holds only in file order cannot tell 「the clamp stayed silent」 from 「another warning got there first」 — ⛔ it is not a control.

formatPercent's accept set widened. formatPercent(0.25, 101, 'en') throws at the branch point and returns a string at head, and that door has 7 non-test call sites, all moving from crash to clamp-and-report. ⇒ Clause-② is yes on both limbs.

⛔⛔ Two sentences of THIS SEAT's were wrong, and are corrected outright

    1. The Clause-②-correction above said the dev's 「nothing here widens an accepted set」 was true, and that only the export limb failed. ⛔ False when written. I reasoned 「a clamp narrows behaviour」 and stopped, without measuring the published function's own accept set — the very axis the floor is about. ⭐ 「narrows behaviour」 and 「narrows the accept set」 are ⛔ not the same claim, and I conflated them inside a comment whose entire subject was that two axes must not be conflated. BORN FALSE ⇒ corrected outright, ⛔ not dated.
    2. This seat reported 「0 non-green」 on this head more than once. Re-read now: Test (shard 1/4) is completed / cancelled. Those readings were taken while it was still in_progress — true of the instant, ⛔ not of the run. ⚠️ The inherited ledger warns about exactly this (「a check_suite.completed event is not a green CI reading — its caveat excludes cancelled suites」); this seat held the fact and still read too early. ⇒ ⭐ a snapshot of a running matrix is not a verdict about it: 「0 non-green」 mid-run means only 「nothing has failed YET」.

⇒ ⛔ Neither correction is charged to the dev, and ⛔ neither changes the verdict — the record stands on its own measurements.

All five items are done at head b0e975d42fb0cf8f8d7046f116831224b61fc86d. (1) PRIVATE, not minor. The ruling moved into packages/fields/src/widgets/percent-scale.ts, the shape this package already uses for a rule shared between a widget and the barrel; index.tsx imports it and leaves it out of the export-star block, as it does for address-format, numberBadInput and file-affordance. MEASURED on the built package rather than argued: PERCENT_SCALE_CEILING and renderablePercentScale each read 0 in dist/index.d.ts, the type entry the package's exports block names for the root subpath, with PercentField reading 2 in that same file as the lit control, and that block carries only the root and ./style.css so there is no deep subpath. The precedents FileValueAffordance and useBadInputRefusal read 0 there too, so this module is in exactly their state. The published surface is therefore unchanged, patch stands, and the changeset's last paragraph (which claimed the exports were needed 'so both faces share one spelling') is deleted. (2) SUNSET recorded in the ruling's docblock and in the changeset: the clamp is defensible only while the spec leaves scale unbounded, and once objectstack#18972 lands it becomes exactly the lenient renderer-side fallback AGENTS.md #0.1 bans, at which point it is to be DELETED, not kept beside the enforced contract. (3) The controls are controls now: all six assert on the ruling's own objectui#9808 marker through the existing warnings() helper instead of on a console.warn call count. (4) The PR body's first line is amended to `Clause-②: yes`, saying which limb each way, and the 'SAME domain' sentence now reads 'the same INTEGER domain' with the measured off-integer divergence. (5) Test (shard 1/4) is green at the new head. ONE THING BEYOND THE FIVE, because the same false sentence lived in the code and would have stayed there: the docblock claim that the function 'only ever sees a width a face has already worked out' is corrected in place. The module now says it sits behind formatPercent, names the other callers including a dashboard metric whose width comes from a numeral-format pattern, and says per AGENTS.md #9 that the live count is whatever a search for formatPercent outside tests returns today rather than a number frozen into prose. The 'SAME domain' correction is likewise made in the code, not only in the body. The review's own corrections of the seat are acknowledged and not re-litigated: Clause-② is yes on the accept-set limb because formatPercent(0.25, 101, 'en') threw at the branch point and returns a string at head, which is a widened accept set on a published function regardless of the export limb.",
"tests": "ALL AT HEAD b0e975d42fb0cf8f8d7046f116831224b61fc86d unless stated; every build and test run went through scripts/pm/os-verify-lock.sh with OS_VERIFY_LOCK_SLOT=objectui-9808 and the verdicts quoted are the wrapper's own VERDICT command-exit lines. THE REVIEW'S ITEM-3 FINDING REPRODUCED, then closed. At the reviewed head a0b61567c0, with the three source files restored by git checkout HEAD on absolute paths and the new module moved off disk, all proved by blob hash before any result was read (worktree hashes 33444cbd/8700caab/b21ab5a8, head hashes e547ef8d/1f45950d/af94d1aa, on-disk equal to the head triple and the new module absent): 'renders an ordinary two-decimal percent field exactly as before', 'leaves the cell face alone' and 'does not fire AT the ceiling' each read Tests 1 failed, 12 skipped, exit 1 when run alone. Restored the same way and proved by blob hash back to the worktree triple. AFTER the fix, each of the SIX controls run alone with a regex-safe -t reads Tests 1 passed, 12 skipped, exit 0 - and 1 rather than 0 selected, so none of them is a phantom green. PUBLISHED-SURFACE CENSUS (the item-1 measurement): after pnpm --filter '@object-ui/fields...' build, grep -c in packages/fields/dist/index.d.ts gives PERCENT_SCALE_CEILING 0 and renderablePercentScale 0, lit control PercentField 2 in the same file and same instrument; FileValueAffordance 0 and useBadInputRefusal 0 as the precedent controls, formatAddress 2 as the counter-example of a module that IS partly re-exported. The two symbols exist only in dist/widgets/percent-scale.d.ts, which no exports subpath reaches. OFF-INTEGER DIVERGENCE re-measured on node v22.22.2 before it was written down: (25).toFixed(100.5) renders and Intl maximumFractionDigits 100.5 throws RangeError; (25).toFixed(NaN) renders and Intl NaN throws; Intl maximumFractionDigits -1 throws. GREEN: pnpm --filter '@object-ui/fields...' build exit 0. pnpm --filter @object-ui/fields type-check exit 0, 0 lines matching 'error TS'. pnpm exec vitest run packages/fields/ reports Test Files 170 passed, Tests 2926 passed. pnpm exec vitest run packages/plugin-detail/ packages/plugin-gantt/ reports Test Files 256 passed, Tests 2349 passed. pnpm --filter @object-ui/fields lint reports '1037 problems (0 errors, 1037 warnings)', read for the word error. check:control-bytes, check:new-line-citations, check:self-import, check:esm-specifiers, check:test-path-roots, check:changeset-claims, check:pending-changeset-literals, check:side-effects-array, check:unreferenced-sources, check:dist-completeness, check:published-dist and check-changeset-presence all exit 0; check:governed-queue-guard --test over the five changed paths prints NOT GOVERNED. A control-character sweep with grep -naP over the C0 range plus DEL across all five changed files matched nothing. ITEM 5, CI - and this is a WHOLE-MATRIX reading, not a snapshot of a running one, which is the error the adoption note corrected in itself. Polled in the foreground until nothing was pending: at head b0e975d42f all 36 check runs are completed, 33 success and 3 skipped (dependabot and the two coverage matrix placeholders), ZERO failed, ZERO cancelled, ZERO pending. STILL NOT MEASURED LOCALLY, unchanged and now answered by CI: check:eager-closure and check:readme-exports each refuse as a BROKEN GAUGE without built dist output this branch does not produce; both are among the 33 successes above. Patch round delivered — carriers RE-HUNG for a fresh at-tier review on the new head. domain:spec @ objectui execution seat · session_01UanLVj6xvbS6puBCewLr8L · 2026-09-18T18:01Z

Head moved a0b61567c0 → b0e975d42fb0cf8f8d7046f116831224b61fc86d. ⭐ A record is bound to a HEAD, so the FAIL record at 5733583803 no longer names this tree and ⛔ there is no review of record on it. ⇒ both carriers back up, review re-commissioned. ⛔ Nothing is enqueued, flipped ready or merged.

Verified by this seat on the new head, ⛔ not adopted from the report

The review's item 1 was the load-bearing one — that two new symbols reached the published entry. Structurally re-measured:

    probe on packages/fields/src/index.tsx @ b0e975d42f reading
SUBJECT — percent-scale in the export-star block empty cell
    SUBJECT — percent-scale imported :33
SUBJECT — the two symbols still declared in PercentField.tsx empty cell — moved out
control — PercentField.js still export-starred (it is a published widget, it MUST be) :4106
    ⭐ LIT CONTROL — the precedents address-format / file-affordance imported 1 each, export-star 0 — the same state

⇒ the module sits in exactly the shape this package already uses for a rule shared between a widget and the barrel.

⚠️ ⛔ What this seat did NOT verify: the dev's census of the built dist/index.d.ts (0 / 0 with PercentField 2 as its lit control). The shared checkout has no node_modules, so a build-output probe taken here returns a dead-instrument zero, ⛔ not a reading. The structural check above is what this seat can stand behind; the dist census is the dev's and is named as such.

⭐ Two things the dev did beyond the five items, both right

    1. The false docblock sentence was corrected in the CODE, not just the body. 「only ever sees a width a face has already worked out」 was measured FALSE by the review, and it lived in the module as well as the PR text. ⭐ Correcting only the body would have left the tree asserting it — and the tree is what the next reader reads.
    2. It pointed at a search instead of freezing the count. The module now names the other callers and says the live figure is whatever a search returns today, per AGENTS.md 完善设计器的每一个细节 #9 — ⛔ rather than writing 7 into prose that rots on the next call site.

⭐ And the sunset it recorded is stronger than the review asked for: once the upstream bound lands the clamp is to be DELETED, ⛔ not kept beside an enforced contract.

⭐ The controls were fixed the right way round

The dev reproduced the defect first at the reviewed head — three controls read 1 failed run alone — then fixed all six to assert the objectui#9808 marker through the existing warnings() helper, and re-measured each alone at 1 passed with 1 selected, so none is a phantom green from a regex that matched nothing.

⇒ ⭐ the general lesson, worth more than this card: console.warn is a shared channel. expect(warn).not.toHaveBeenCalled() asserts that nothing at all warned, which a library's first-render message can satisfy or destroy depending on file order. Asserting on the ruling's own marker is the form that survives isolation.

⛔ Still OWED and unfileable — the count rises to twelve

The review's unflagged (b) is confirmed by the dev as a genuine class (a): NumberCellRenderer passes scale straight to Intl maximumFractionDigits with a value.toFixed(decimals) catch arm, and GridField.computeRow does Number(v.toFixed(scale)) — both reach the identical RangeError from a spec-valid declaration, unguarded. ⇒ the same defect this card fixes for percent, one renderer over, still live.

⛔ REST issue creation is refused by this session's write classifier (POST /issues refused, PATCH 200), so it is recorded here, ⛔ not left implied, and ⛔ not routed through another agent. Dedupe: NumberCellRenderer scale RangeError · toFixed digits out of range grid summary · computeRow toFixed scale · maximumFractionDigits out of range number cell · percent scale ceiling sibling renderers.

(2, taken first because it decided the others) THE SPEC-REFUSED ARM IS RESOLVED BY NARROWING, not by a declared #0.1 exception. The review offered both; narrowing is the only one that leaves the module's own justification standing, since an exception to #0.1 declared inside the module that cites #0.1 as its reason for existing is an argument eating itself. The predicate is now 'Number.isInteger(declared) AND declared is above PERCENT_SCALE_CEILING' - the spec's own int() shape AND the engine's own bound - so the clamp fires on exactly the gap between what the installed contract ACCEPTS and what the engine REFUSES, and every other width is returned uncoerced and untouched. -1, Infinity, NaN, 2.5 and a string '101' therefore keep the path they had before this ruling existed. The two pins that asserted the old clamped behaviour are INVERTED rather than deleted, so the decision is what goes red if anyone re-widens it, and the narrowing is declared in the docblock, the changeset and the PR body as the review required. A bonus the narrowing bought: it also removed the spurious warnings the previous head emitted for 100.5, NaN and 'abc', widths that never broke anything. (1) THE SUNSET HAS AN INSTRUMENT. A new block in the pin file parses a percent field declaring PERCENT_SCALE_CEILING + 1 through the INSTALLED FieldSchema and requires acceptance; its failure message says the premise has expired, names what to delete (the module, its two call sites, that file) and says not to relax the assertion. Two controls stand beside it. The docblock premise is re-worded to what this repository INSTALLS - the lockfile's 17.4.0, verified on disk - and says explicitly never to re-derive it by reading the other repository. The sunset trigger is now 'a spec release this repository takes', with the upstream bound recorded as merged and unreleased. (3) The frozen 'seven' count and its enumeration are deleted from the module; only the pointer at the search remains. (4) The body's sunset trigger is corrected in place, the reverse-verification section is dated to a0b6, and the head's own ablation is added. TWO CORRECTIONS I ACCEPT AND RECORD RATHER THAN ARGUE: my control-fix finding was WIDER than I claimed - all six old controls read 1 failed alone, not three, and my own test file's docblock said so while my report did not; and grep -c over a .d.ts is not an export census, so my 'formatAddress is partly re-exported' aside was wrong (those are {@link} prose hits). Both are noted in the body. The seat's sentence about the module pointing at a search 'instead of' freezing the count was the seat's, not mine, and it is correct that the module did both; that is now moot because the count is gone.",
"tests": "ALL AT HEAD 2b8d4f93529266447bb62d941b3b79562fc756b6 unless stated; every build and test run went through scripts/pm/os-verify-lock.sh with OS_VERIFY_LOCK_SLOT=objectui-9808, and the verdicts quoted are the wrapper's own VERDICT command-exit lines. THE INSTALLED SPEC DOOR, measured first-hand before anything was written down, with the package resolved on disk at 17.4.0: scale 2 ACCEPTED, 100 ACCEPTED, 101 ACCEPTED, 1000 ACCEPTED; -1 REFUSED (too_small), 2.5 REFUSED (expected int), Infinity REFUSED, NaN REFUSED. LIT CONTROL: a bogus key on the same document is REFUSED, so the door reads the document rather than admitting everything. That single reading settles both required changes - the premise still holds for what we install, and the lower and non-finite arm is spec-refused. THE SUNSET ROW IS FAILABLE, proved rather than asserted: with the probe re-pointed at a width the door already refuses, the row reads Tests 1 failed, 16 skipped, exit 1, and the output carries the SUNSET REACHED message. Mutation proved by blob hash AND by anchor grep (anchor 1 before, 0 after, injected 1) before the result was read; restoration proved by blob hash back to 93659bc6. ISOLATION, the whole file this time rather than a sample: every one of the 17 rows run alone with a regex-safe -t reads Tests 1 passed, 16 skipped, exit 0 - and 1 selected rather than 0, so none is a phantom green. REVERSE VERIFICATION AT THIS HEAD, run from the committed state, faces returned to the branch point with the ruling's module left on disk, mutation proved by blob hash before any result was read: head blobs 33444cbd / 8700caab with module ec7702630a, base blobs 2706ad13 / 269632b0, on-disk after mutation equal to the base pair with the module unmoved; subject grep -c renderablePercentScale 0 in both faces, lit controls toFixed 2 in the widget and formatPercentBody 2 in the barrel. Result read only then: Test Files 1 failed, Tests 5 failed and 12 passed of 17, exit 1. The five red rows are now the five clamped-set rows and nothing else, every one a real RangeError - the spelling failure the earlier ablation carried is gone, because the ceiling constant no longer lives in a file the ablated faces own. The twelve green are the six controls, the two inverted spec-refused rows and the four sunset rows, all of which must hold on BOTH trees. Restore proved by blob hash and git diff HEAD empty. GREEN: pnpm --filter '@object-ui/fields...' build exit 0. pnpm --filter @object-ui/fields type-check exit 0, 0 lines matching 'error TS'. pnpm exec vitest run packages/fields/ reports Test Files 170 passed, Tests 2930 passed. pnpm exec vitest run packages/plugin-detail/ packages/plugin-gantt/ reports Test Files 256 passed, Tests 2349 passed. pnpm --filter @object-ui/fields lint reports '1037 problems (0 errors, 1037 warnings)'. Release: objectui#9808 — delivered by PR objectui#9919, MERGED and verified on origin/main BY SYMBOL.

⛔ The merge event is not the判据, and neither is merged / merged_at / merge_commit_sha — all three lie in both directions. ⚠️ main had already moved twice while this PR sat in the queue (00c4df509c → 05a49f2ee → e22fa12335), and the first two moves were other PRs' landings — so a moved tip proves nothing. What was actually read:

    reading before the landing after
packages/fields/src/widgets/percent-scale.ts at main HTTP 404 HTTP 200, 11656 bytes — the same size measured at the reviewed head 2b8d4f9352
    renderablePercentScale in packages/fields/src/index.tsx 0 2
lit control PercentField, same file, same instrument 2 3
    export * from './widgets/percent-scale — 0

⭐ The control moved too, so the zero above was a reading and ⛔ not a dead probe. And the export-star count staying at 0 says the module is still module-private ⇒ the published surface did not move, which is what the review's ①.1 measured pre-merge.

⭐ The LANDED code, ⛔ not merely its presence. On origin/main, :181 reads const refused = Number.isInteger(declared) && declared > PERCENT_SCALE_CEILING; and :146 reads export const PERCENT_SCALE_CEILING = 100; — same text at the same line numbers as at the reviewed head. ⇒ the squash rebase carried the reviewed artefact unaltered; ⛔ nothing was re-judged after the fact.

Contract review of record: comment 5734979223 on the PR — PASS, at tier (claude-fable-5-1, 68 of 68 assistant records in the reviewer's own transcript, against a firing control that read claude-opus-5, 2 of 2).

Half-state cleared in this same act: the keyword close left pm:dispatched and the assignee standing — both are removed with this release, ⛔ not left for a patrol to find.

⚠️ Carried forward, ⛔ still unfileable while REST issue creation is refused for this session: NumberCellRenderer and GridField.computeRow reach the identical unguarded fraction-width ceiling from a declaration the installed spec accepts — class (a), and the sunset instrument this card introduced would need its own copy in each. Dedupe words: NumberCellRenderer scale RangeError · computeRow toFixed scale · percent scale ceiling sibling renderers.
