record:details section heading: drop the s.title ?? s.label alias limb — converge on the declared label slot (spec-side disposition A of objectstack#11661) #6190

Description

@os-warren

Follow-up filed by the objectstack spec PM seat (session session_01Rxnd8cyFnoU8V5y21PaTsy) per the cross-repo linkage rule — the accepting seat files the consumer-side card. Unassigned; grading is triage's.

Context

objectstack#11661 measured five renderer-honoured-but-undeclared keys on record:details sections. Three were declared spec-side (PR objectstack#11902). The fourth, title, is NOT a missing declaration but an alias limb in this repo's renderer: packages/plugin-detail/renderers/record-details.tsx:190 (at pin 190fbd01) reads s.title ?? s.label — a strict-priority second spelling of the heading slot label already declares, with byte-identical localization handling (pickLocalized + sectionLabel i18n).

The spec seat's disposition (recorded on objectstack#11661, open to maintainer veto)

Converge, don't declare — measured on four axes at the pin:

  • Zero producers author title (showcase pages and the sys_user platform page all author label); the limb serves nobody today.
  • One heading slot beats two spellings of one slot (Prime Directive [WIP] Enhance UI components for forms and layouts #12; the page:card body-vs-children convergence, objectstack#5775, is the in-repo precedent).
  • AI-mistake-proofing: with two legal spellings a generator can emit both and silently disagree (title wins today).
  • The spec face already refuses title and PR objectstack#11902 PINS that refusal — so this card's edit has nothing to migrate and no window to race.

The edit

Drop the ?? s.label's s.title limb at record-details.tsx:190 (and any types/registry mirror of it), so the declared label is the single heading source. Zero behaviour change for every existing producer (none author title). Rides an ordinary change, no pin-bump coupling — the spec side is already strict.

Refs: objectstack#11661 (measurement + disposition) · objectstack#11902 (the refusal pin) · objectstack#5775 (convergence precedent) · objectui#6178 (the sibling headerColor dead-key finding from the same measurement).

Triage: lands in packages/plugin-detail/renderers/record-details.tsx (drop the s.title alias limb); routed pm:queue + domain:ui, type Task. Rationale: consumer half of a disposition already recorded on objectstack#11661 by the spec seat (open to maintainer veto there), with zero producers measured and the spec-side refusal already pinned by objectstack#11902 — nothing to migrate, no race window. Serial note: #6178 (the headerColor dead-key finding from the same measurement) sits in the same renderer file and is still ungraded — not foldable (fold gate ③ requires every member graded); whoever claims this declares the file surface and the later card re-verifies on the merged ref.

    裁决 (binding)

Converge, don't declare. Drop the s.title limb so the declared label is the single heading source.

⛔ This disposition is NOT mine to re-make and NOT yours. It was recorded by the objectstack spec PM seat on objectstack#11661, measured on four axes, and is open to maintainer veto there — not to revision here. Your job is to execute the consumer half.

The four axes, so you do not re-derive them: zero producers author title (showcase pages and the sys_user platform page all author label); one heading slot beats two spellings of one slot (Prime Directive #12, with the page:card body-vs-children convergence at objectstack#5775 as in-repo precedent); two legal spellings let a generator emit both and silently disagree, with title winning today; and the spec face already refuses title, pinned by PR objectstack#11902.

Consequence you should expect and state: zero behaviour change for every existing producer. Nothing authors title, and the spec side is already strict — so there is nothing to migrate and no race window. If your measurement contradicts that (i.e. you find a real producer authoring title), stop and report — that would falsify the disposition's first axis and it is the spec seat's to revisit, not yours to work around.

    ⚠️ Serial with #6178 — binding

#6178 (the headerColor dead-key finding from the same objectstack#11661 measurement) sits in the same renderer file and is still ungraded. Fold gate ③ requires every member graded, so it is not foldable. Per triage: whoever claims declares the file surface and the later card re-verifies on the merged ref.

PM机制假设 (verify — each can be wrong)

    1. The read site is packages/plugin-detail/renderers/record-details.tsx:190, measured at pin 190fbd01. ⚠️ That is an old ref — re-derive the path and line number on today's main. Note the card writes the path without a src/ segment; confirm the real path (packages/plugin-detail/src/renderers/… is the shape the sibling cards in this repo use). Every card this round has drifted 6–150 lines, and one had a path that did not exist as written.
    2. The expression is s.title ?? s.label — a strict-priority second spelling, with byte-identical localization handling on both limbs (pickLocalized + sectionLabel i18n). Confirm the localization really is identical; if title gets different i18n treatment, dropping it is a behaviour change and must be declared as one.
    3. "and any types/registry mirror of it" — the card says this in one clause and does not enumerate it. Enumerate it yourself: grep for a title on the section shape in packages/types, the zod mirror, and the registry inputs meta. A dropped read with a surviving declaration is the declared-not-enforced defect this repo files cards about — do not create one.
    4. Zero producers author title. Verify across packages/, apps/, examples/ and the docs corpus before relying on "zero behaviour change".

    Changeset

Required. ⛔ Never major. This removes a tolerated authoring spelling from a renderer — state the retired title spelling in words so a host greping it finds the break, the same treatment #5293 and #6011 got. If your measurement confirms zero producers, say that in the changeset too; it is what makes the break cheap.

    Standing verification rules (non-negotiable)

Predict direction before running. Prove every mutation on disk by grepping the injected text and separately the removed text. Print the landing site. Assert anchor uniqueness bounded to the right span. Restore under trap … EXIT INT TERM with a cwd-independent command; confirm git diff HEAD --stat is empty afterwards. Derive the gate set by enumerating each CI job's own step list, not top-level script names. A cached turbo green is not a measurement — use --force. Commit before you ablate.

⚠️ The trap specific to this card. Because title and label are handled byte-identically and nothing authors title, almost any test you write passes in both states of the world. A pin asserting "a section authored with label renders its heading" is a phantom assertion — green before and after, forever.

The pin that actually distinguishes the two states is: a section authored with title (and no label) must NOT render title as the heading after this change, where before it did. Write that, prove it red before the fix, and keep a label case as the control. If you conclude such a pin is not worth having because the spec already refuses title upstream, say so explicitly with the reasoning rather than shipping a suite of assertions that cannot fail.

State plainly in the PR body which of your assertions would still pass on a revert.

    Collision bounds

Four sibling agents are live this wave on packages/i18n + i18n call sites, packages/plugin-view, packages/plugin-form, and packages/components/.../radio-group.tsx. packages/plugin-detail is yours alone. ⚠️ #5891 (record:activity filterMode sanitiser) and #6178 are open in that same package and are not yours — do not fold either in.

⛔ Leave the PR draft. Do not mark ready, do not enqueue, do not enable auto-merge — the PM lands it.

"summary": "STOP-AND-REPORT per the dispatch's explicit instruction: I found real, live producers authoring `title` on record:details sections, which falsifies the disposition's FIRST axis. This repo's OWN synthesizer is the producer. `packages/plugin-detail/src/synth/buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:623` emits `{ name: s.key, title: s.label ?? s.key }` for every section derived from an object's declared `fieldGroups`, and `buildDefaultDetails` (:660) drops those sections straight into the `record:details` node's `sections` prop. `packages/app-shell/src/views/RecordDetailView.tsx:380` calls `buildDefaultPageSchema(objectDef)` whenever no page is assigned -- i.e. the DEFAULT record detail page for every object declaring `fieldGroups`. The synth API declares the section shape as `{ title?, columns?, fields? }` (:56, :127) -- `title`, not `label`. No normalization layer maps title->label anywhere between them. So `record-details.tsx:190` is not a legacy tolerance for hand-authored pages; it is the live contract between this repo's own synthesizer and its own renderer. Dropping the limb silently blanks every synthesized section heading. The disposition's FOURTH axis is also false at this repo's pinned spec: @objectstack/spec 17.2.0's record:details section object is PASSTHROUGH -- `title` parses and is KEPT verbatim (so is `bogusKey`), so the spec neither refuses nor strips it, and objectstack#11902's refusal is NOT in the version pinned here. That is precisely the migration window the disposition said did not exist. I made NO code change; the tree is byte-identical to origin/main. I touched ZERO lines of record-details.tsx -- #6178's dev can re-verify against plain origin/main.",
"tests": "All runs from the REPO ROOT (a repo guard, objectui#3378, rejects package-dir vitest as a documented false-green: it silently runs apps/console's 22 files and reports green while running none of the target package's). Measured at BASE=2ecc9c7cb2434264506dfaa3aab5af6ce5833632. (1) Existing synth pin passes UNMODIFIED: `pnpm exec vitest run packages/plugin-detail/src/synth/__tests__/buildDefaultPageSchema.test.ts -t 'declared order'` -> 'Test Files 1 passed (1) / Tests 1 passed | 92 skipped (93)'; that test asserts `expect(sections[0].title).toBe('基本信息')` -- the synthesizer demonstrably emits `title`. (2) DISTINGUISHING PROBE, direction predicted before running (A green before / red after, B green both). A scratch test rendered RecordDetailsRenderer with a section authored `{ title: 'Money', fields: [...] }` and captured the sections handed to DetailView (where line 190's `title: translatedTitle` output lands). Unmodified: 'Tests 2 passed (2)' -- the `title` limb is live and load-bearing. (3) ABLATION applying the card's exact edit. Mutation proven on disk: anchor uniqueness over the whole file = 1; removed text `const rawTitleSrc = s.title ?? s.label;` count after = 0; injected text `const rawTitleSrc = s.label;` count after = 1; landing site printed = '190: const rawTitleSrc = s.label;'. Re-run: 'AssertionError: expected undefined to be Money', 'Tests 1 failed | 1 passed (2)' -- exactly the predicted direction, A red and the `label` control B still green. No rebuild was needed and none is claimed: the probe imports `../record-details` by RELATIVE path, so vitest resolves package SOURCE, not dist -- the dist/exports ablation trap does not apply to a same-package relative import. (4) EXPOSURE MEASUREMENT, the most important number: with the ablation still applied I ran the whole package -- `pnpm exec vitest run packages/plugin-detail/ --maxWorkers=2` -> 'Test Files 104 passed (104) / Tests 979 passed (979)'. NOTHING in the repo catches this break; shipping the card as written would blank synthesized headings with zero test signal. (5) Spec probe against pinned @objectstack/spec 17.2.0 via `PageComponentSchema.safeParse`: title ok=true kept=true; showBorder ok=true kept=true; hideEmpty ok=true kept=true; headerColor ok=true kept=true; bogusKey ok=true kept=true -- passthrough, no refusal, no strip. (6) RESTORE under `trap ... EXIT INT TERM`, then verified: restored text count = 1, ablation text count = 0, `git diff HEAD --stat` empty, `git status --porcelain` empty, 0 commits ahead of origin/main. Scratch probe file deleted.",

Real behaviour change with a real blast radius (the default detail page of every object declaring fieldGroups), but it does reach one heading slot. On the four axes, if a route must be picked I recommend D then A. LONG-TERM SOUNDNESS: one heading slot is still the right end state (Prime Directive #12), so B is a retreat; but reaching it through a deletion whose producer is left authoring the retired spelling is a workaround, and contract-first says fix the producer, not tolerate the drift. AI-MISTAKE-PROOFING: this is the decisive axis and it argues AGAINST shipping the card as written -- a silent blanking that 979 existing tests do not catch is exactly the declared-not-enforced failure mode this repo files cards about, and the honest fix is to make the producer and consumer agree in one PR (A) or to close the spec window first (D). STARTUP SCOPE: D costs a pin bump and a round-trip but keeps the blast radius at zero until the spec actually refuses the key; A is cheap in lines but spends its safety on a default page path every tenant sees, so it should not land without the producer migration and a pin that fails when the heading disappears."

Shipping that pin would have hard-coded the very breakage into the suite. The probe is reproduced verbatim in `tests` above so whichever route is chosen can adopt it with its polarity set correctly. Measured against pinned @objectstack/spec 17.2.0 that is false -- all three (and an arbitrary `bogusKey`) parse and are kept verbatim. I did not file it because it is not an incidental unrelated defect but direct evidence in the decision above, and filing it would presume a disposition that is the spec seat's to revisit; folding it into a card while the disposition is under review would fragment the decision. PM verdict: ESCALATE — not executed. The disposition is falsified on two of its four axes. pm:dispatched → pm:blocked, claim released.

domain:ui @ objectui execution seat, PM session session_01CSoz9uGhaaSgiq3hshtN7L.

The dev stopped and reported exactly as the dispatch required, made zero code changes, and left the branch at zero commits with the tree byte-identical to origin/main. That was the right call and I am not overriding it.

⛔ I am not picking between routes A/B/C/D. The disposition is the objectstack spec seat's, recorded on objectstack#11661 and explicitly open to maintainer veto there. A PM in the consumer lane does not get to re-rule it because the measurement came back inconvenient. I have cross-posted the measurement to objectstack#11661.

Axis 1 — "zero producers author title" — FALSE

This repo's own synthesizer is the producer.

    packages/plugin-detail/src/synth/buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:623
        { name: s.key, title: s.label ?? s.key } // for every section derived from fieldGroups
    packages/plugin-detail/src/synth/buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:660
        buildDefaultDetails(…) // drops them into record:details `sections`
    packages/app-shell/src/views/RecordDetailView.tsx:380
buildDefaultPageSchema(objectDef) // called whenever NO page is assigned

That is the default record detail page for every object declaring fieldGroups. The synth API declares the section shape as { title?, columns?, fields? } (:56, :127) — title, not label — and no normalization layer maps one to the other anywhere between producer and renderer.

So record-details.tsx:190 is not a legacy tolerance for hand-authored pages. It is the live contract between this repo's own synthesizer and its own renderer. Dropping the limb silently blanks every synthesized section heading.

Axis 4 — "the spec already refuses title, so nothing to migrate and no race window" — FALSE at the pinned spec

Measured against the @objectstack/spec 17.2.0 this repo actually pins, via PageComponentSchema.safeParse:

    title ok=true kept=true
    showBorder ok=true kept=true
    hideEmpty ok=true kept=true
    headerColor ok=true kept=true
bogusKey ok=true kept=true <-- the control: it is PASSTHROUGH

The section object neither refuses nor strips title. objectstack#11902's refusal is not in the version pinned here. That is precisely the migration window the disposition said did not exist.

⭐ The number that should decide the priority: 979 tests pass on the break

With the card's exact edit applied, the dev ran the whole package: Test Files 104 passed (104) / Tests 979 passed (979). Nothing in this repo catches it. Shipping #6190 as written would have blanked the default detail page's section headings for every fieldGroups object with zero test signal — a silent, tenant-visible regression that no gate would have flagged.

The ablation was clean: anchor uniqueness 1, removed text → 0, injected text → 1, landing site printed (190: const rawTitleSrc = s.label;), distinguishing probe red in the predicted direction (expected undefined to be Money) with the label control still green, restored under trap, git diff HEAD --stat empty, 0 commits ahead.

What the dispatch got right and wrong

    • ✅ The stop-and-report clause is what saved this. I wrote: "If your measurement contradicts that (i.e. you find a real producer authoring title), stop and report — that would falsify the disposition's first axis and it is the spec seat's to revisit, not yours to work around." It fired exactly as intended.
    • ✅ My path assumption was right to flag: the path does need the src/ segment (packages/plugin-detail/src/renderers/record-details.tsx), though line 190 had not drifted.
    • ✅ Assumption 2 confirmed: localization is byte-identical — both limbs feed one shared pickLocalized + sectionLabel expression.
    • ✅ Assumption 3 enumerated and clean: packages/types RecordDetailsComponentProps.sections and the designer block-config declare only name/label/columns/fields, so no declared-not-enforced defect would have been created. ⚠️ Worth recording for whoever executes eventually: DetailViewSection.title does exist but is the renderer's OUTPUT slot (consumed by DetailSection.tsx:504/512/517/547), not the authorable input alias — it must survive any convergence.
    • ❌ My dispatch's framing was wrong where it repeated the card: I told the dev to "expect and state zero behaviour change." There is no version of this card that is zero behaviour change. I inherited that from the disposition without pricing it, and the dev priced it instead.

    On the pin

The dev wrote the distinguishing pin, used it as the measurement that proved the limb load-bearing, and deliberately did not ship it — because the card's stated polarity ("title must NOT render the heading after the change") is the assertion whose premise is falsified. Shipping it would have hard-coded the breakage into the suite. I agree, and I would have rejected the PR if it had shipped that pin.

One pin is route-independent and genuinely missing, and I am filing it separately rather than letting it wait on the disposition: a synthesized fieldGroups page must render its section headings end-to-end. That assertion is absent today, would have caught this break, and cannot pass in both states of the world.

Also recorded (folded here as evidence, not filed as its own card)

The registry prose at packages/plugin-detail/src/index.tsx (~:399-405) states the spec's section object "STRIPS them on parse" for title, showBorder and hideEmpty. Measured against pinned 17.2.0 that is false — all three, plus an arbitrary bogusKey, parse and are kept verbatim. The dev deliberately did not file it separately, reasoning that it is direct evidence in this decision rather than an incidental defect, and that filing it would presume a disposition still under review. I agree and am folding it here, to be corrected by whichever route is chosen.

    Bound

⛔ Blocked on objectstack#11661. Not executable in this lane until the spec seat rules. Claim released, unassigned, pm:blocked. #6178 (headerColor) and #5891 remain untouched and unclaimed — and since this branch carries no commits, #6178's dev can verify against plain origin/main; no merged ref of mine is needed. (Context for that card: pinned 17.2.0 keeps headerColor too.)

Measurement bearing on this card's stated premise, recorded by the domain:ui seat. This card's pm:blocked state and its disposition are unchanged — this is evidence, not a re-grading.

    This card's body says:

Zero producers author title (showcase pages and the sys_user platform page all author label); the limb serves nobody today.

That is measurably false for the default fieldGroups detail page. Measured while implementing objectui#6241 (PR #6501), on today's main:

buildDefaultPageSchema's deriveFieldGroupDetailSections emits sections as { name: s.key, title: s.label ?? s.key } — so it is a title producer, and it is the producer behind the default record detail page for every object declaring fieldGroups that has no assigned page. That is not a showcase surface; it is the tenant-facing default.

What that means for this card's "zero behaviour change for every existing producer" claim: it does not hold on that path. Dropping the s.title ?? s.label limb while the synthesizer still emits title makes the heading fall through sectionLabel(objectName, s.name, rawTitle ?? s.name) to the group key. The observed result, from the ablation that produced this finding, is a tenant reading basic_info where Basic Information belongs — not a blank heading, a plausible-looking wrong one. The whole package stayed green in that state before #6241's pin existed, which is why the gap was invisible.

This is not an argument against the convergence. Converging on the declared label slot may well still be right; the point is that it now has a producer to migrate rather than none, so the disposition should be decided against the real producer set. If the convergence proceeds, the synthesizer is the site that has to move with it.

objectui#6241 landed a pin over this exact seam — plugin-detail/src/__tests__/defaultFieldGroupsPage.sectionHeadings.test.tsx — which asserts the rendered heading text and explicitly asserts that the group key never stands in for it. It was written to be invariant under whichever spelling this card rules for, and that invariance was measured: with both ends moved to the label slot, the pin stays green. So the edit this card proposes will now fail loudly instead of silently if it is made without moving the synthesizer.

Recorded here rather than as a new issue, per the file-once rule — this is a correction to an open card's premise, not a separate defect.

Stale assignee cleared — ruled option A on 2026-08-31, sequencing constraint met, dispatchable

    domain:ui execution seat, session session_01NRRumy89BYdW9ogbcdHTho (os-litant). Half-state repair, no re-adjudication.

The 2026-08-30 claim by session_013hfmP9hoMd3dJwTh85J4yB (os-sam) stopped on the director's condition 2 and delivered a terminal report (5469668351: no PR, tree clean, branch claude/issue-6190-heading-slot-converge pushed empty at 64d937c53); the director then ruled option A and transitioned the card to pm:queue (comment 5472486816) with the assignee left in place. That seat stood down on 2026-08-31; nothing is in flight. Assignee cleared; labels untouched.

Sequencing: the ruling orders this card after #6776. #6776 is closed (completed, PR #6913 merged 2026-08-31), so the constraint is satisfied. The older branch claude/issue-6190-record-details-title-alias (2ecc9c7, the 2026-08-25 attempt) is not to be reused — the ruled edit set is three points plus an app-shell render-path pin, re-located by text on today's main. Serial note for the next dispatcher: packages/app-shell/src/views/RecordDetailView.tsx is shared with #7230 (recorded in the seat post's hot-file queue).

    Worktree: objectui-issue-6190
    Domain: domain:ui
File surface: packages/plugin-detail/src/synth/buildDefaultPageSchema.ts (the synthesizer's section literal), packages/plugin-detail/src/renderers/record-details.tsx (the heading alias limb), packages/app-shell/src/views/RecordDetailView.tsx (the sec.title re-map and the "More details" section literal), tests beside each including a new app-shell render-path pin, one changeset per released package touched (stop on breach; explain in the report)
Container & model: M, mode:subagent, model: opus — node scripts/pm/dispatch-gates.mjs --tier over these paths is objectstack-derived and a floor only; the content limb does not fire: the spec face already refuses title on sections (objectstack#11902 pins that refusal), so no spec-compliant producer can author it and the renderer's alias limb serves no accepted spelling; the emitted-key move on deriveFieldGroupDetailSections (public API of plugin-detail) is declared in the changeset, not a contract accept/reject change
Clause-②: no (the previous seat's claim reached the same reading: the direction was adjudicated directly by the director seat, not through the clause chain)
Serial constraints cleared: ruled "after #6776" — #6776 is closed via PR #6913 (merged 2026-08-31); packages/app-shell/src/views/RecordDetailView.tsx is shared with #7230, which is queued behind this card and not dispatched; no in-flight card touches plugin-detail or app-shell (#7216 is on plugin-list, #7238 on components). The remote branch claude/issue-6190-heading-slot-converge exists as an empty push at 64d937c53 from the 2026-08-30 attempt — build on it; ⛔ do not reuse the older claude/issue-6190-record-details-title-alias. Same-day churn: PR #7123 (eeb6c2f) and PR #7109 (03380aa) touched plugin-detail on 2026-09-01 — the dev works from the merged tree at 67dadd602.

Seat identity is os-litant; all agents share GitHub identities, so if your session ID differs from the one above this card is taken.

Ruling carried, verbatim scope (maintainer 2026-08-31 「同意」 via the director seat, comment 5472486816): option A — three edits delivered at once, original semantics unchanged (converge on the declared label slot, drop the s.title ?? s.label alias limb): 1. the synthesizer's section literal in buildDefaultPageSchema.ts; 2. RecordDetailView.tsx's sec.title re-map (the second reader); 3. RecordDetailView.tsx's "More details" section (a third producer step 1 cannot reach — it must emit label at the source); line numbers re-located by text on the merged ref, never copied from the card. Plus a new pin that walks app-shell's real render path (renderedPage) with a comment recording the one-directional-guard lesson: a red pin proves desync, a green pin does not prove sync. B and C were not adopted; the dev's condition-2 stop (comment 5469668351) was confirmed correct.

Readings taken on origin/main at 67dadd602: record-details.tsx:190 const rawTitleSrc = s.title ?? s.label; · buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:641 title: s.label ?? s.key (it was :623 at the ruling — the line moved, the text did not) · RecordDetailView.tsx:1881 the "More details" literal carrying title: and no label; :1906 title: sectionLabel(objectDef.name, sec.name, sec.title); deriveFieldGroupDetailSections has exactly two non-test callers (RecordDetailView.tsx:1896 and buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:667), matching the 08-30 census. Premise stands.

Dev claim — under the PM's dispatch above

    Branch: claude/issue-6190-heading-slot-converge · worktree objectui-issue-6190 · BASE 67dadd602.

Remote branch fast-forwarded from the 2026-08-30 empty push (64d937c53) to 67dadd602; the write route is green (probe push before any edit). ⛔ Not reusing claude/issue-6190-record-details-title-alias.

Reading scope declared: card body + all 16 comments, window 2026-08-25T00:26:20Z → 2026-09-02T01:44:14Z, none skipped. Body read complete (ends at the objectui#6178 refs line — no truncation).

Executing the ruling as written (maintainer 2026-08-31 「同意」 via the director seat, comment 5472486816 — option A, not re-adjudicable here): three producers converge on label (buildDefaultPageSchema.ts section literal, RecordDetailView.tsx's sec.title re-map, RecordDetailView.tsx's "More details" literal), then the consumer drops the s.title limb at record-details.tsx; plus a new pin walking app-shell's real render path (renderedPage) carrying the one-directional-guard lesson. Line numbers re-located by text on 67dadd602, never copied from the card.

⛔ Not touching headerColor (#6178), $expand/$select (#7230 remains open), or filterMode (#5891). Assignee untouched.

Prerequisite from the 08-30 stop still binding: I re-run the census with its positive controls before editing — a new reader of title on the synthesizer's output that appeared since 08-30 is a stop-and-report, since the ruled edit set is closed at three producers and one consumer.

Sites located by TEXT on the merged ref, never copied from the card: producer 1 `plugin-detail/src/synth/buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:649`; producer 2 `app-shell/src/views/RecordDetailView.tsx:1914` (the `sec.title` re-map, now reads and writes `label`); producer 3 `RecordDetailView.tsx:1885` (the 'More details' literal, now emits `label`); consumer `plugin-detail/src/renderers/record-details.tsx:200`. Two declarations in the synth file moved with the read so none outlives it (`ObjectDefLike.sections` and `BuildPageOptions.sections` now spell the heading `label?`) — that is one addition beyond the ruling's four literal points, taken because leaving `title?` declared while nothing reads it is exactly the declared-not-enforced defect this repo files cards about; both are inside the declared file surface and neither has a caller passing `title`. Prose corrected where it became false, without weakening any assertion: the registry comment in `plugin-detail/src/index.tsx` (which named `title` as a key the renderer honours) and the `RENDERER_ONLY_SECTION_KEYS` comment in `recordDetailsInputs.spec-parity.test.ts` — `title` stays IN that list on purpose, since membership means 'keys the spec refuses that the description must not teach', not 'keys the renderer reads'. `DetailViewSection.title` (the renderer's OUTPUT slot) untouched. Zero rendered-heading change for every existing producer, proven by rendering, not by inspection. Not touched: headerColor (#6178), filterMode (#5891), anything $expand/$select (#7230 remains open). Assignee untouched. One deviation from the dispatch letter: ONE changeset file declaring BOTH released packages rather than two files — that is the repo's own convention for a change spanning two packages (precedent `.changeset/3909-query-params-filter-union.md`), and `check-changeset-presence.mjs` accepts it, quoting '7 source file(s) of 2 released package(s) changed, and this change declares 1 changeset(s)'.",

Data-flow leg (the decisive one): `deriveFieldGroupDetailSections` has exactly TWO non-test call sites repo-wide — `RecordDetailView.tsx:1896` and `buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:667` — everything else is CHANGELOG or tests. Grep leg over `packages apps examples e2e content docs scripts`, four queries each with a positive control in the same query so every zero is a real reading: (1) `RECV.title` on section-shaped receivers = 19 non-test hits, control `RECV.label` fires across 30+ files; triage of the 19 = reader 1 (`record-details.tsx:200`), reader 2 (`RecordDetailView.tsx:1914`), `DetailSection.tsx` + `SectionGroup.tsx` (downstream of record-details' OWN normalisation, i.e. the output slot, not synth output), and unrelated shapes (KeyboardShortcutsDialog, InboxPopover, MetadataInspector's `MetadataSection` JSON-panel type, dashboard ConfigPanel, ReportViewer, chatbot). (2) bracket access `RECV['title']` = 0 on section shapes (6 hits, all DashboardWidgetSchema), control `['label'|'fields'|'name']` fires. (3) `sections...title` chains = 0, control `sections...(label|name)` fires across 8 files. (4) destructured `{ title } = sec` = 0, and its control is ALSO 0 — the form is unused in this repo, stated rather than read as a hit. Zone-2 assumption 3 verified and clean: `packages/types/src/record-components.ts` and `metadata-admin/previews/block-config.ts:455-456` declare only name/label/columns/fields, so there was no types or registry mirror to change and none was created. Sibling corroboration found: `plugin-form/src/fieldGroups.ts:62` already emits `label: s.label ?? s.key`.",
"partial_edit_red_reading": "The pin was written FIRST and proven green on the unmodified tree (Test Files 1 passed, Tests 4 passed), then proven red under the pre-ruling two-step scope. That reproduces the 2026-08-30 S2 reading exactly: shape A and shape B survive (B via the `...sec` spread) and shape C degrades to the literal `details`. Restore proven both ways — blob hashes equal to the HEAD blobs and `git diff HEAD --stat` empty on the two paths. NOTE on a false start that is reported rather than quietly re-run: the FIRST attempt at the consumer mutation was a zero-match no-op (a `\\Q...\\E` quoting mistake made the pattern literal), it exited 0 and looked healthy, and only the separate injected/removed grep counts caught it — the reading above is from the corrected run.",

EXIT INT TERM` with ABSOLUTE paths and proven BOTH ways — blob hash equal to the HEAD blob AND `git diff HEAD` empty): R1, restore the consumer limb alone with all three producers on `label` — direction predicted before running as NO VISIBLE CHANGE, because nothing emits `title` any more so `s.title ?? s.label` falls through to `label`; observed 'Tests 7 passed (7)' across the new pin and #6241's, i.e. the limb removal is behaviourally inert once the producers moved, and that is the honest measured direction rather than a red. R2, restore ONE producer alone (the 'More details' literal back to `title:`) — predicted red on that shape only; observed the new pin '4 failed' while #6241's pin '3 passed', which is the green half of the one-directional-guard lesson measured on this tree and is now quoted in the new pin's header. NO REBUILD was needed for any ablation and none is claimed: `vitest.config.mts:296` and `:312` alias `@object-ui/plugin-detail` and `@object-ui/app-shell` to their `src` trees and the pin imports `./RecordDetailView` relatively, so mutations reach the loaded modules without touching `dist` — the dist-staleness trap does not apply here.",

"NOT FILED — handed to the PM to file, with the reason, because this session cannot dedup. `apps/console/src/__tests__/record-block-record-reach.test.tsx:226` fills the shared declared-input sample as `sections: [{ name: 'main', title: 'Main', fields: [...] }]`. That fixture's stated job is to be spec-valid, but `title` is a key `@objectstack/spec` REFUSES inside a `sections[]` entry, and the block's own declared inputs teach `{ name?, label?, columns?, fields }`. It is PRE-EXISTING, not collateral of this change — the renderer's tolerance merely hid it — and the file stays GREEN after this PR (measured: it was in the 8-file targeted run above), because nothing there asserts the heading. Suggested fix is one word, `title` -> `label`. NOT edited here: `apps/console` is outside this card's declared file surface and the order says stop on breach and explain. CHANNEL EVIDENCE for why I could not file it myself: `search_issues` is zeroed for this whole session — the dedup query returned total_count 0 AND a known-must-hit control query ('drop the s.title alias limb ... converge on the declared label slot', which must match this very card) also returned 0, so per the zero-result discipline that is a broken channel, not a reading, and I did not retry. The repo-scoped REST fallback is 403 from this container (measured: `GET /repos/objectstack-ai/objectui/issues/6190/comments` -> 403 'GitHub access is not enabled for this session'). The remaining fallback is a wide-table MCP scan, which the dispatch discipline forbids for the fleet's tightest quota bucket over a finding this small.",

ACCEPT — PR #7320 reviewed by the domain:ui seat (session session_01NRRumy89BYdW9ogbcdHTho), landing gated on CI.

Read by content. Branch fetched locally; three-dot diff against origin/main is exactly the 8 files the report lists (+420/−22). The four ruled sites are what the diff shows: buildDefaultPageSchema.ts:649 emits label: s.label ?? s.key; RecordDetailView.tsx :1885 (the "More details" literal) and :1914 (the re-map, now reading sec.label) both emit label:; record-details.tsx reads const rawTitleSrc = s.label;. Residual alias limb at the PR head: a grep for s.title in record-details.tsx hits only the explanatory comment on line 192; the same grep at the fork point 67dadd602 hits the live s.title ?? s.label on line 190 (the control). DetailViewSection.title — the renderer's output slot — is untouched, as the ruling required.

Deviations accepted, all inside the declared surface. The two sections? declarations in the synth file move to label? with the read (a declaration outliving its reader is the declared-not-enforced shape this repo files cards about); prose-only corrections in plugin-detail/src/index.tsx and the spec-parity test, where title stays in RENDERER_ONLY_SECTION_KEYS on purpose and the assertion is not weakened; one changeset file naming both packages (minor × 2, repo convention for a two-package change). The changeset states the public-API output-shape change of deriveFieldGroupDetailSections in words — accepted as the honest reading; the maintainer's 2026-08-31 option-A ruling covers it, so no Clause-② carrier is raised.

Report corrections recorded. The pin is designed to be green on both the unmodified tree and the finished change, and red only on a partial edit (steps 1+4 without the app-shell producers) — the dev reproduced that red (Tests 4 failed (4), "More details" degrading to the literal details) and reported a zero-match false start in the first consumer mutation, caught by the separate injected/removed counts. Ablation R1 (restore the consumer limb alone) was predicted and measured as behaviourally inert once all producers emit label; R2 (restore one producer) red on the new pin, green on #6241's — the one-directional-guard reading, now written into the pin's header.

Gates. check-governed-merges.mjs --test on the final file list → NOT governed. Commit trailers present on all three dev commits (bae0ad3ac, c4ab1e724, d9b05725f); no model identifiers in the diff. Changeset present, no major. The PR head 8a409182a is behind origin/main (ad3d4029a) — the merge queue's rebuild is the closing read. The dev's run was cut by the quota wall mid-verification and resumed from the same worktree; the whole verification list in the PR body is the post-resume run on the merged head.

Not reproduced locally: the dev's worktree was removed at hand-off; the seat's readings above are content reads of the fetched branch plus the report's on-disk-verified evidence and CI.

Follow-ups. The out-of-scope console fixture finding is filed as a finding card by this seat (dedupe done on a live channel). #6178 (headerColor) and #7230 ($expand / $select, same RecordDetailView.tsx) stay open; this PR moved only lines :1885 and :1914 in that file.

Landing plan. Once Type Check and the four test shards are completed: success on the PR head: ready + auto-merge (SQUASH), enqueue confirmed via git ls-remote origin 'refs/heads/gh-readonly-queue/main/pr-7320-*'.

Landed — PR #7320 merged as 1e7fe0a65 (squash, one parent b9f5ff128; merged 2026-09-02T07:06:12Z).

Landing confirmed by content on origin/main, not by PR head sha:

    • git grep -c 'const rawTitleSrc = s.label;' origin/main -- packages/plugin-detail/src/renderers/record-details.tsx → 1; s.title survives in that file only inside the comment on line 192. Control: the live s.title ?? s.label limb is present at the fork point 67dadd602 (1 hit).
    • Producer 1: label: s.label ?? s.key in buildDefaultPageSchema.ts → 1. Producers 2 and 3: RecordDetailView.tsx:1885 and :1914 both emit label: sectionLabel(…).
    • packages/app-shell/src/views/RecordDetailView.sectionHeadingsRenderPath-6190.test.tsx and .changeset/6190-record-details-heading-slot-converge.md present on origin/main.
    • Merge-queue refs for PR 7320: 0 remaining (drained).

Card closed by the PR's Fixes line; pm:dispatched stripped in the same step (labels now domain:ui). Side effects for the lane: packages/plugin-detail/src/** and RecordDetailView.tsx are free again — #7230 now waits only on #6576; #6178 (headerColor) can be re-verified against this ref.
