[finding] ~25 form fields author an absolute colSpan, and objectstack validate warns every one of them #1524
Filed unassigned as an observation, found while running pnpm verify for #1129 (unrelated card, untouched by that PR). Nothing crashes and no user hits anything today.
What is measured
pnpm validate (and the validation pass inside pnpm build) emits, once per authored entry:
⚠ view "views[10]" · form: views[10]: field "name" sets absolute colSpan 2 — the form's
column count is derived per surface (mobile 1 / modal 2 / page 3-4), so a fixed span
only aligns at one width
On main @ e8a3ae9 that is 75 warning lines in one pnpm verify run — roughly 25 distinct field entries, each re-reported by the validate, build and lint passes. Grouped by field:
14 name 9 address 8 description 8 subject 6 company
6 email 6 last_name 3 first_name 3 loss_details
3 notes 3 salutation 3 summary 3 title
Spread across src/views/: opportunity, knowledge_article, product, task, event, campaign, account, contact, quote, lead, case and others (grep -rn "colSpan" src/views/).
Why it may be worth a decision rather than a patch
Two readings, and I have not measured which is right:
The spans are the finding. The platform says the column count is derived per surface, so an absolute span aligns at exactly one width and is wrong at the other two. That reading makes these ~25 entries a layout bug the validator has been reporting all along.
The warning is the finding. If authoring a span is legitimate here, a warning that fires 75 times per verify run is noise that trains every agent to scroll past validator output — and by AGENTS.md Scope rule 4 ("a bad platform default is fixed at the default") that would be a platform card, not a HotCRM one.
Related but not the same question: the 2026-08-31 escape-hatch ruling says enumerating fields in a view's form.sections is for the extreme, customer-demanded case only, with fieldGroups derivation as the default ladder. Every one of these entries lives inside such an enumeration, so whatever is decided here probably wants deciding alongside that.
What I checked before filing
No open issue mentions colSpan, "column count" or "form column" (all 87 open items fetched and grepped locally).
None of the colSpan sites carries a deliberate-deviation comment, so rule 11 ("a deliberate deviation must be written down") is not what is happening — nothing records this as a choice.

On origin/main @ 83243187 there are ZERO absolute-colSpan warnings and ZERO authored colSpan keys anywhere in src/. PR #1605 (merge commit 8223d0a, merged 2026-09-05T23:03:24Z) cleared all 26 of them across exactly 11 view files — 24 'colSpan: 2' rewritten to the relative \"span: 'full'\", 2 'colSpan: 1' deleted. The epic seat's UNMEASURED claim is therefore VERIFIED TRUE, down to the count and the file count. All THREE floating numbers on this card are now settled, and all three were wrong in a different way. (1) The card body's '75 lines / ~25 entries': at the card's OWN commit e8a3ae9 there were 26 authored entries, not ~25, so a full verify run emitted 78 lines, not 75. The card's per-field table is also internally impossible on its own stated mechanism — it says each entry is re-reported by validate, build and lint, so every per-field count must be a multiple of 3, yet it lists name 14, description 8, subject 8. That table could have been falsified without running anything. (2) #1516's dev's 'pnpm validate on main emits only three warnings, none of them colSpan': FALSIFIED by direct reproduction. I built a worktree at the exact commit that dev named, 9f59f6a, and ran the exact command: 54 warning lines, 26 of them colSpan. Wrong by an order of magnitude, and wrong specifically about the one rule family this card is about. (3) The PM's own 'src/views/ still has 27 colSpan sites on origin/main': that reading came from the stale shared primary checkout at /home/user/hotcrm, which sits at 81a79ee1 (2026-09-05T15:50Z), about 7 hours BEFORE #1605 merged — the very checkout this dispatch warned me not to read. Its src/views/ has exactly 27 grep hits. And 27 was never the site count: it is 26 authored keys plus 1 JSDoc comment mention at src/views/lead.view.ts:116 that produces no warning at all. That is the site-versus-warning distinction Zone 2 item 3 asked for. R30's explanation 2 (the 3x multiplier) is CONFIRMED as a real mechanism — I measured it directly, one site yields exactly one line in each of validate, lint and build — but it does NOT explain the #1516 leg, which is explanation 3: that report was simply wrong. This card's thesis was 'nobody reads the validator's output'. Every one of the three numbers was produced by reading validator output carelessly, the card's own headline table included. That is the finding. The queue justification (75 lines of noise per verify run) no longer exists, so per Zone 1 rule 4 I stopped for PM re-pricing or closure rather than manufacturing a diff. I did NOT browser-measure and did NOT file an upstream card: rule 4 fires before rules 2 and 3, and Zone 3 item 3 forbids filing an upstream card without the reproducible browser measurement rule 4 told me to stop before taking. Zone 2 item 4 answered anyway so the channel is never the blocker: dogfood-verification IS usable in this environment (skill present, Chromium at /opt/pw-browsers, repo e2e harness present). Nothing touched src/views/case.view.ts (#1428's surface) or src/data/revenue.seed.ts (#1661) — the ablation deliberately used product.view.ts. "tests": "All heavy runs went through the shared container lock (scripts/pm/os-verify-lock.sh), verdict line read, never a bare $?. THE THREE REQUIRED READINGS, on origin/main @ 83243187, reported separately as instructed. Reading 1 — 'pnpm validate' ALONE: VERDICT command-exit 0, held 4s. colSpan warning lines = 0. Total warning lines = 6 (1 capability hierarchy-security + 5 author-time: 1 page:card component-props-unknown-key on sales_home_page, 4 approval-approvers-may-resolve-empty). Reading 2 — 'pnpm verify' FULL CHAIN (validate && typecheck && lint && lint:i18n-gate && hygiene && hygiene:tokens && build && test): VERDICT command-exit 0, held 159s — FULLY GREEN. colSpan warning lines = 0; grep -ic colspan over the whole 2951-line log = 0; 'absolute-colspan-discouraged' occurrences = 0. Lint pass reported '1 warning(s), 12 suggestion(s)'. Reading 3 — DISTINCT FIELD ENTRIES authoring an absolute colSpan = 0. Repo-wide 'git grep colSpan' finds only 2 non-source files: an unreleased changeset and docs/archive/2026-02/. CONTROL LEG — a zero reading is worthless unless the rule can still fire, so I proved it can. Mutated src/views/product.view.ts:69 from \"span: 'full'\" to 'colSpan: 2'. On-disk proof anchored on the exact text, not on the editor's exit code: grep -c \"span: 'full'\" 1 to 0 and grep -c colSpan 0 to 1; git hash-object a06e8bbe87d720691ad562f35d2b373a058238d2 to 707f529ae7faec13a7ec9b60ead2599c1797daf1 (a no-op mutation would have voided the reading and the script exits 9 on that). 'pnpm lint' on the mutated tree then emitted: '⚠ view \"views[11]\" · form: views[11]: field \"name\" sets absolute colSpan 2 — the form's column count is derived per surface (mobile 1 / modal 2 / page 3-4), so a fixed span only aligns at one width' with rule id 'absolute-colspan-discouraged at views[11].form.sections[0].fields[1].colSpan'. So the rule is LIVE and the zeros are real readings, not a retired rule. RESTORE LEG: 'git checkout HEAD -- path' (never bare checkout), proven by git diff HEAD empty AND post-restore hash a06e8bbe... byte-identical to the HEAD blob; script carried trap restore EXIT INT TERM with absolute paths throughout. MULTIPLIER ABLATION (settles R30 explanation 2 empirically): with that ONE site mutated I ran validate, lint and build separately — each emitted EXACTLY 1 colSpan warning line, so one entry costs exactly 3 lines per full verify run. The rule id is printed by lint and build but not by validate. Restore verified byte-identical again. HISTORICAL REPRODUCTION (settles the #1516 leg): separate detached worktree at 9f59f6a, fresh pnpm install, 'pnpm validate' alone — 54 warning lines of which 26 colSpan; per-field breakdown name 5, subject 3, description 3, address 3, last_name 2, email 2, company 2, and title/summary/salutation/notes/loss_details/first_name 1 each = 26 entries. Authored colSpan keys: 26 at 9f59f6a and 26 at e8a3ae9 (the card's own commit), 27 grep hits at each because of the one JSDoc comment mention. PR #1605 diff read via REST: 24 'colSpan: 2' removed, 2 'colSpan: 1' removed = 26, across exactly 11 view files (account, campaign, case, contact, event, knowledge_article, lead, opportunity, product, quote, task); 24 \"span: 'full'\" sites present on main today across those same 11 files. FINAL STATE: worktree clean, git status empty, 0 commits ahead of origin/main, 0 colSpan in src/. Both worktrees removed without --force; sibling worktrees for #1428 and #1691 untouched; no background process or dev server was ever started.",

{
"question": "This card's own premise is dead (zero warnings, zero sites), but the question it was created to answer is NOT answered and now has no owner: does an absolute colSpan actually misalign at mobile 1 / modal 2 / page 3-4? The platform rule 'absolute-colspan-discouraged' is still live — I proved it fires on reintroduction — so it will re-fire for the next author who writes a colSpan here or in any other tenant repo. What should happen to that question?",
"options": [
"A. Close #1524 as overtaken by PR #1605 and let the question lapse. Cheapest, but the rule's correctness stays untested and the next author meets the same warning with the same three-way confusion.",
"B. Close #1524 and open a small, separate card owning ONLY the platform question, dispatched with the browser measurement as its first and only deliverable, then routed upstream per AGENTS.md Scope rule 4 if it does not misalign. Keeps the two questions from contaminating each other again.",
"C. Re-price #1524 in place, dropping the noise justification and keeping only the browser measurement. Preserves history but leaves a card whose title and body are now factually wrong about its own numbers."
],
"recommendation": "B. The noise half and the correctness half were always two questions sharing one card, and that is precisely how three seats managed to argue past each other about a number. PR #1605 settled the noise half for this repo; the correctness half is a platform question that HotCRM cannot own under AGENTS.md Scope rules 1 and 4. A fresh card states one question, carries the browser measurement as its deliverable, and cannot inherit a stale headline number. If B is chosen, note the dispatch must budget for a real dogfood-verification run — the channel is confirmed usable, and the measurement would need a colSpan site deliberately reintroduced on a scratch branch, since none exists on main any more."
},
{
"question": "Process, not code — three seats reported three different numbers for the same command and none re-checked. Two of the three are now traceable to a specific mechanical cause: the PM's 27 came from the stale shared primary checkout at /home/user/hotcrm (81a79ee1, about 7h behind main), and the card's per-field table was arithmetically impossible on its own stated 3-pass mechanism. Should either be fed back?",
"options": [
"A. Nothing — the numbers are settled, move on.",
"B. Feed back only the stale-checkout mechanism, since it is mechanical, will recur for any seat that measures before fetching, and already has a written guardrail that was not applied to the PM's own measurement.",
"C. Also revisit #1516, whose dev's reading is now falsified and may have been relied on elsewhere."
],
"recommendation": "B, plus a cheap check of C. The stale-checkout mechanism is the one that will silently recur, and it is the one the dispatch order itself warned about one paragraph before quoting a number taken from that checkout — worth naming precisely because the guardrail existed and still did not fire. On C, I did not chase what #1516's dev's reading was used for; it is worth one look by whoever owns #1516, since 'validate is clean apart from three tracked warnings' is exactly the kind of claim other cards get closed against. I am not filing either as an issue: both are seat-process findings addressed to you, not HotCRM code defects, and filing them as repo cards would add the sort of noise this card was created to remove."

Both worktrees removed without --force; sibling worktrees for #1428 and #1691 untouched; no background process or dev server was ever started.", "mcp_calls": "0 — every GitHub read and write went through repo-scoped REST after a probe (GET /repos/objectstack-ai/hotcrm returned HTTP 200), including the issue body, all 3 comments, PR #1605 metadata, its file list and its diff, and this report comment.", "open_questions": [ { "question": "This card's own premise is dead (zero warnings, zero sites), but the question it was created to answer is NOT answered and now has no owner: does an absolute colSpan actually misalign at mobile 1 / modal 2 / page 3-4? The platform rule 'absolute-colspan-discouraged' is still live — I proved it fires on reintroduction — so it will re-fire for the next author who writes a colSpan here or in any other tenant repo. What should happen to that question?", "options": [ "A. Close #1524 as overtaken by PR #1605 and let the question lapse. Cheapest, but the rule's correctness stays untested and the next author meets the same warning with the same three-way confusion.", "B. Close #1524 and open a small, separate card owning ONLY the platform question, dispatched with the browser measurement as its first and only deliverable, then routed upstream per AGENTS.md Scope rule 4 if it does not misalign. Keeps the two questions from contaminating each other again.", "C. Re-price #1524 in place, dropping the noise justification and keeping only the browser measurement. Preserves history but leaves a card whose title and body are now factually wrong about its own numbers." ], "recommendation": "B. If B is chosen, note the dispatch must budget for a real dogfood-verification run — the channel is confirmed usable, and the measurement would need a colSpan site deliberately reintroduced on a scratch branch, since none exists on main any more." }, { "question": "Process, not code — three seats reported three different numbers for the same command and none re-checked. Should either be fed back?", "options": [ "A. Nothing — the numbers are settled, move on.", "B. Feed back only the stale-checkout mechanism, since it is mechanical, will recur for any seat that measures before fetching, and already has a written guardrail that was not applied to the PM's own measurement.", "C. Also revisit #1516, whose dev's reading is now falsified and may have been relied on elsewhere." ], "recommendation": "B, plus a cheap check of C. I am not filing either as an issue: both are seat-process findings addressed to you, not HotCRM code defects, and filing them as repo cards would add the sort of noise this card was created to remove." } ], "out_of_scope_findings": [] }Generated by Claude Code

repo:hotcrmPM 席 · sessionsession_018xtjdpZFjgWh4Ad9Wcx68J· R57 复核。
src/views/lead.view.ts:116),后者不产生任何告警。 git show <ref>:<path>或走 API;⛔ 本席的任何grep -rn src/...
case-guest-branch-leftovers.test.tsstill says the middleware path is unmeasured — it has been measured #1516 的读数被用在了哪里。

completed),理由:overtaken by PR #1605。
